The total cost for this work was $1,500.00. This work came with a Lifetime warranty on the 2 steel rain caps, and a 5-year warranty on the masonry. On Feb. 10, 2024, I called Shamrock Chimney and told them that the caps were moving out of place on top of the chimney, tilting as they might be ready to fall off. "I hired Rich to install an insert in my Chimney for a pellet stove hook up which was completed for $2600. While he was there, he pointed out that my front porch which was brick was failing which I knew and he quoted me approximately $4000 for bluestone and Beach stone. About six months later, Rich sent a subcontractor over to do the work and he spent three days doing nothing. After the third day I told Rich the work wasn't getting done. He came over and couldn't believe he was paying his guy $500 a day and nothing was done. Rich told me he fired him and would finish the job himself. Once Rich started the work, I told him numerous times to make sure the pitch flowed away from the house since it pooled and flowed towards the house. Mid-way through, just with my eye I could see the pitch was towards the house. I put water and a level on it and showed him the pitch was wrong. I paid for half the job and promised to pay in full once fixed with a contract. No response after that."

"After Lowe's came to clean the dyer vents at my condo building, my dryer was no longer venting. I contacted them and initially they said they would send someone to check the vent. They then called back and said my vent was never clean because it was disconnected and they could not help me. This was strange because the dryer was working fine before they came. Also, in my trash there was foil tape that you would wrap around the vent. This made me think that they did try to clean the vent despite saying they did nothing. I contacted my management company who said there were never any previous issues with my vent. I called Lowe's back and told them this and they still insisted that they never touched it but would check with the technician. I looked into it my self and found that in the section of the vent between the dryer and the ceiling there was a mass of lint the size of a small animal (see the picture). It was so large that moisture from the dryer had also built up and flooded the bottom of the vent hose. The building manager was then able to clear another mass of lint from the section of the vent in the ceiling and the dryer then started venting to the outside. It was never disconnected like Lowe's said. It seems they started cleaning it and just jammed the dust all the way back to the dryer. Why they didn't finish removing it is a mystery. If they ever service my building again, I will refuse."
