After having a cancellation with another service provider earlier in the week, we contacted Mario and he came out next day to assess and quote the room. Two days later he was here to do the work - on time and on the budget we discussed. He came prepared with all of his equipment, showed us the paint color to confirm before he started and got right to work and finished in half a day! "Will is a good guy, who means well, and he tries hard to please, but he is a bit careless, and does not have a lot of experience with other than routine tasks.  And he refused to accept responsibility for a major mistake.
I hired Will to paint the ceiling in my living room, hall, and 3 bedrooms.  There was a good deal of water damage in some of the rooms, and a few dents in the ceilling.  He did not quite capture the technique to match the texture of the ceiling, but with some prodding and my suggestions, he kept redoing it until he got it right, generally
Apparently he never quite got the technique, because we went thru the same drill in each of the rooms.  Most came out ok after a few corrections, which he performed only when prodded. 
There was a bit of an issue of neatness.  He managed to get a light spatter of paint on a few pieces of furniture that were uncovered, and on the floor (I did manage to get it off relatively easily, but it should have been better protected).  He threw a used drop cloth over my bed when painting the ceiing, and I found the bed covered with a "dandruff" of dried paint chips.  He had painted the whole living room and hall before i noticed that he had got paint on all the walls.  He said "Oh, I thought you were going to paint the walls"... Well, I did paint them, but I had not been planning on it.
When he went to do the bedrooms, I told him that I was not planning on painting them, so could he please tape the walls before painting. Unfortunately, one of the rooms was wallpapered, so it really did need masking.  It took nearly 2 weeks to finish that room (he was sick, then I was away...) and when he got done, and pulled the tape off, the top of the wallpaper came off with it.  Not just in one spot, but all the way around the room, a colossal mess.  When I asked his what he was going to do to do to fix it, his response was "Me, fix it??? it was your idea to use tape!!"  Of course, he is no longer working on this job...  As he was packing his stuff out, he had the nerve to claim that I fired him just because I did not want to pay him.
Actually, after repeated efforts, the work that Will did came out fine (except for things like destroying my wallpaper).  Some rather severe water damage and dents were successfully covered up.  I really have become quite fond of Will, and hope he finds his niche.  But he does need to use more care, and to take responsibility for his mistakes.

"Seamless. That's the word that describes both working with Jurgen at Epic Finish as well as his work installing some tricky wallpaper in a tricky spot, as well as in interior painting. A consummate gentlemen, Jurgen was fast to respond, offered a very fair price, and when I hired him, he gave his all to the project. Neat, conscientious, and a man of his word, Jurgen is everything you want when a contractor comes into your home. The project included wallpapering a bar that had been converted from a closet--and of course I picked a tricky pattern. The final job exceeded my expectations. Again, seamless. I also had him paint a guest bathroom. Here too, I picked a difficult color to cover an entirely different cover. And again, the final product is stunning. I'm already discussing future jobs with Epic--and I have to say, I'm excited about working with Jurgen again because I know the work will be in good hands. Five stars all around. "Upon calling Jay for an estimate  - he came out promptly to look at the job in hand.  He supplied a detailed estimate within a couple of days and we agreed upon this.  His crew began working within a couple of weeks of original suggested date due to bad weather they could not start earlier.  Once here, they were very hardworking, thorough and professional.  All of his crew were excellent painters and took their time to make it look really nice.  They cleaned up each day after they left and were respectful of the property. 
I would definitely recommend them to any of my friends and neighbors.  I will be using this company in the future to update our bathroom and replace handrails in the hallway. 
Bethany, Jay's wife deals with the administration/financial side and is a delightful lady.
