"I called Horizon after moving into a new home in Medway and having no idea what condition the chimney was in. They sent a team out the same day! The guys were great - very friendly and professional. They looked everything over, informed us that one chimney needed to be cleaned but the other did not, and some of the brick work was loose on the fireplace floor. I also requested a chimney cap and they suggested strengthening part of the chimney before installing. They provided an estimate within 24 hours and came out about a week later to do the work. Again, they were completely professional, pleasant and somehow despite cleaning the chimney and doing masonry work, did not create any dust or mess in the house. I was so pleased that I asked them to put us on a yearly schedule for routine cleaning. I highly recommend!"

The total cost for this work was $1,500.00. This work came with a Lifetime warranty on the 2 steel rain caps, and a 5-year warranty on the masonry. On Feb. 10, 2024, I called Shamrock Chimney and told them that the caps were moving out of place on top of the chimney, tilting as they might be ready to fall off. I told Shamrock's representative that I was fearful that the caps could fall down damaging my roof and cars, or injuring someone walking into my house on the walkway below. Shamrock told me that someone would be out to ensure that the caps were properly secured - however no one from Shamrock came out. While he was there, he pointed out that my front porch which was brick was failing which I knew and he quoted me approximately $4000 for bluestone and Beach stone. About six months later, Rich sent a subcontractor over to do the work and he spent three days doing nothing. After the third day I told Rich the work wasn't getting done. He came over and couldn't believe he was paying his guy $500 a day and nothing was done. Rich told me he fired him and would finish the job himself. Once Rich started the work, I told him numerous times to make sure the pitch flowed away from the house since it pooled and flowed towards the house. Mid-way through, just with my eye I could see the pitch was towards the house. I put water and a level on it and showed him the pitch was wrong. I paid for half the job and promised to pay in full once fixed with a contract. No response after that."
