"Jon and his team was forthcoming throughout the process; taking the time to lay out the terms of the contract including permitting, and site demolition/cleanup and what was covered in the cost which was reasonable. The garage project itself took just over a day to , and was painstakingly demolished without a machine to insure that the next door neighbors or my tenants would remained unaffected throughout the process e.g cleanup. Jon's team was diligent and thorough in this regard;and as a group, they were the kind of stand up guys you would trust at your place. I would highly recommend Billias Restoration for your next project!"

Small jobs welcome

"Recommended by Home Advisor, Cary was the one and only contractor who responded, and that was in a matter of days. He came when he said he would, looked at my front yard, which had been mangled by another person who shall remain nameless, and promised he could re-grade and re-seed my lawn, which at that time was full of weeds. He came the NEXT DAY, with Ryan and his beautiful dog, Bentley, took out the weeds, graded the lawn with fresh loam, then re-seeded. He and Ryan also put in a great new concrete walkway! All I need to do now is water every day and wait for my grass to grow! It's beautiful already, considering what it was. Thank you, Cary, you kept your word, did a phenomenal job at a reasonable price, and cleaned up well, too! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED."

"I had my sewer hooked up from the septic to the city sewer. I got quotes from 5 different contractors and Anthony gave my the best quote by far. His team came to my house and in less than a day the job was done. I was very pleased with the job they did and would highly recommend them to anyone."

"The work was well done even with bad weather. That didn't stop them from doing a good job. Cleaned up and even did a little extra leaf blowing."

Excavating questions, answered by experts

You can bury underground electrical wire six inches deep—but only if you use a rigid metal electrical conduit. For rigid, non-metallic conduits, bury the wire at least 12 inches deep. If using an underground feeder cable rated for direct burial, you'll need to place it at least 18 inches deep, as it has no conduit for extra protection.

To drill a shallow well, you may be able to use a drive well point. This is a tapered point that is driven into the ground. A drill bit at the end of PVC pipe may be another option to consider. A lot of the cost depends on what tools are available near you.

It can take several weeks for the ground to settle after removing a tree, and the soil under larger, more mature trees can take months. The deeper the tree has been ground under the soil, the longer it will take to settle. However, this extra depth can help you plant new landscaping sooner because you’ll have more space for fresh soil.

No, you typically cannot use metal detectors to find your sewer line. Most sewer lines are made of non-metallic materials such as PVC, clay, or cast iron, which are not detectable by standard metal detectors. Metal detectors are designed to locate metallic objects, so they won't be effective for identifying the path of a non-metallic sewer line. To locate your sewer line accurately, it's best to use other methods.

If you don’t wish to dig it out and convert it into a finished basement, you can still encapsulate your crawl space to protect it from damage for an average cost of $5,500. Finishing a crawl space beyond this isn’t really worthwhile, as the low ceilings mean you won’t be able to use the area as living space.
