They came in and made them both look (and smell!) new again. They cleaned out tile and grout and had it back to white (it was supposed to be white?!) and sealed it as well so it is protected going forward. "Overall, I would recommend South County Carpet and Upholstery. When I called, they made an appointment for the next week. They came promptly at the agreed appointment time. They finished sooner than I expected. My carpet looked and smelled great when they were done. The cleaning agents used were non-toxic to children and pets--plus there wasn't an unpleasant "bleachy" smell. Just clean.
