"We hired Rich in the beginning of May to put in a patio in our backyard. He wrote up the contract promising the patio would be in before the fourth of July. That deadline came and went and no patio. We were promised several additional deadlines and that work would be done with no results. He claimed because he had to fire several people and finding help was difficult that it was putting him behind. Meanwhile when I met up with him, he showed me pictures of other patio projects he had accomplished instead of ours. The final part of this review is Rich promised to send a refund from Riverhead Supply that he had received in error to us which has, to no surprise, not materialized. I do not recommend hiring him."

"I am sure that all positive reviews for this company are fake. Nothing that was promised to me was delivered. My siding project is still ongoing for over 1 month. Was told that it would be done in week. Had one rain day. They have system like this: 1) sales person who never installed anything he will promise you things that obviously are not true, 2) crew that is subcontracted but not Gunner, mine was driving for over 2 hours away, 3) person who oversees the project but has little control over anything, no supply, doesn't know the crew, crew does not listen to him, main office does not listen to him, 4) main office does not reply to you. They just tell me to talk to project manager who has no control. So you understand that if there are any issue you are on your own. Quality or work is not good. Many times I had to point to the crew what's wrong, planks are broken yet they were still installing it, caulking is done they way that I can do it better, they cut wires to awning etc"

"He was a no-show, no-call on the appointed day. I called him and left several messages. Eventually he called back and left a long rambling message about health woes and respiratory issues. There were many back and forth conversations and lots of excuses from this guy for cancellations and reschedules. In his messages, he said he appreciated my being cool and understanding and promised that he's a good guy who wouldn't stiff me. After multiple attempts to get this job done to no avail, I asked for my money back. That's when things got nasty. Pleasant John became Nasty John, and his language became course and foul. Bottom line: this guy is a crook. He will schmooze you and take your money and take off. And then the chase is on."
