Anthony Traeger (Owner of Traeger Plastering) has been in the plastering business since 1992. He believes that the key to a happy customer is to treat each job as if it's his own. This attitude leads to the highest quality work with affordable prices and the cleanest job possible.

You can get cheap and good but you can't get fast. These guys did a great job, took them I think 7 days total for a fair price. Tony recommended skip trowel. Said I'm not sure man. Took me into his house to show me and I was sold. Said make my house half as good as this and I'll be satisfied. He came in with Justin and Jeff and just knocked it out. Professionals. If I was in the house flipping business I would have these guys on speed dial."

Plaster that sags or bulges, shows extensive deep cracks, or is crumbling from water damage or simply time may need replacement. Plaster walls can look a little “worn” for a long time before they need replacing. It’s not a good idea to plaster over broken plaster (unless by broken you’re referring to cracked, in which case that’s perfectly fine). However, broken plaster can be a sign of a larger underlying issue like foundation damage or severe damage to the lath holding up the plaster, so it’s worth investigating before you simply plaster on top of the damage.

If you already have plaster walls and ceilings, adding new plaster costs $2 to $10 per square foot. For an average-sized room, that would come out to $1,200 to $10,000. However, the cost to replace plaster with drywall is higher—running between $720 and $1,250 for a 10-by-8-foot wall or ceiling (not including drywall finishing).

Many services include repainting to match the existing surface. Confirm with your provider.

Generally, your homeowner’s insurance might only cover ceiling collapses caused by problems under the coverage, such as a busted pipe. But if the ceiling collapse resulted from owner negligence, maintenance issues, or other reasons excluded by your policy, you could be on your own. Some policies might cover damages caused by the collapse but not the repair itself. Check with your policy carrier for the most accurate information regarding ceiling collapse coverage.
