As "Frank of all Trades" I do many projects that other contractors have to sub contract out. What this means to you as a client, is that I do basically everything by my self and very rarely get another trade in*. This allows me to work quicker and more efficiently by not having to wait for someone else to show up/ scheduling conflicts. Don't let the name fool you, I have 34 years experience and in business full time for 11 years and registered with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Contractor PA HIC # 58000. I carry full Liability Insurance and can provide proof of when a job has a signed Proposal. I work within the laws and codes, I will not cut corners nor do anything that will jeopardize safety or my integrity. My payment schedules are clearly posted in my Proposal that every job receives. If someone says they give a 10% discount, they compensate that 10% somewhere else. I give everyone the best pricing I can, in this business there are overhead expenses that must be factored in. I even take your dog out for a potty break, because they're my clients also! I am not a guy with a pickup truck and a tool bag that shows up at 10am, then takes an hour for lunch and leaves for the day at 2pm. I run a professional legitimate remodeling business and have many happy clients to prove it. I am honest, trustworthy and will discuss the options and what's best for your project. I guarantee my labor for one year. I'm am a believer in good communication and take many photos of the larger jobs and present them to you at the end for your records. I work within your budget, but I also ask that you have realistic budget and know that TV shows showing renovations are just that... edited and with unrealistic time lines in many cases. I don't have fancy CAD drawings and a design team. I do it old school with pencil and paper. I'm responsible for the job from the design, ordering, delivering, installing and to its finishing. I'm confident that my skills and work history/ catalogue of past projects can bring your dreams into reality. I am working on taking credit cards for payment very soon. I love doing what I do and everyday is a new day with new challenges. Please call me to discuss your future project! (717) 764-1003 Business Line.

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

You can wallpaper and paint over certain types of wallpaper, but it’s usually a better idea to remove it first. Removing the wallpaper and prepping the wall before painting is a good way to guarantee a smooth finish that looks professional. If you ever have a moisture or water issue after painting over wallpaper, the paper will bubble and damage your wall. Additionally, you should never paint over wallpaper already peeling or otherwise damaged, as this will leave obvious imperfections in your wall and could lead to additional problems.

We don’t recommend wallpapering over older paper. That’s because creating layers of glue can invite bubbling or excess moisture on the wall’s surface. You should also prime your wall before applying wallpaper and smooth the wall as much as you can, and another layer of wallpaper complicates this process.

It is less costly to paint than wallpaper when you only consider the upfront cost. Wallpaper costs $320 to $820 when applied by a pro, while paint only costs $200 to $700 per room. However, when comparing wallpaper versus paint, consider the long-term as well. Wallpaper can save you money over time since it has a much longer life span than paint.

Installation typically takes 1-2 weeks, depending on the wall’s size and site conditions.

No, you don’t always have to remove old wallpaper before applying a new layer. However, you should pull off the existing wallpaper if it’s cracked, peeling, or in poor condition. We’d also recommend against putting wallpaper over textured or dark-colored wallpaper because the old layer may be visible through the new one. In addition, if you try to hang new wallpaper over vinyl-coated wallpaper, the adhesive might not stick properly.
