"Last summer, I had a complete bottom to top rebuild of my chimney. So going forward, I wanted to insure that I protect this investment for many years to come. After doing research on multiple companies, I hired Warrington Chimney & Fireplace because they had outstanding reviews on Angi and several other websites and because I wanted a company that could do thorough job cleaning my chimney, could do a level 1 or 2 inspection, and could provide a written report with photos after the service call. Previously, the chimney sweep company that used to clean my chimney only did one up and down sweep ... and was done cleaning the chimney in about 10 minutes. That said, I never felt like the prior company did thorough job. Warrington Chimney & Fireplace checked all of the requirements mentioned above. All of my questions were answered prior to the service call. The gentleman that serviced my chimney was Chris K. He was simply outstanding ... a really nice and friendly guy. Chris initially called me on the day of the appointment to advise me of his arrival time - he even called me a second time to advise that he would be a little bit later than expected due to unexpected heavy traffic. That gesture alone communicated to me that Chris/Warrington Chimney & Fireplace respects the time and schedule of their customers. Chris was at my home for over 2 hours. He took all of the proper steps to protect my home, got up onto the roof to inspect the chimney and cap area and did a very very thorough job cleaning my chimney. "It went well there was an extra $45 charge for the rubber seal and it was provided in the summer time in July of 2014. Upon initial visit he was on time, when he had to bring back the glass with a rubber seal he came on a random day with no appt and just showed up even though we had an appointment and he never showed.  Fast forward to winter time when we were actually using the fireplace unit and from the get go it had a gas smell to it.  I called the service provider of which told me in July that he will be servicing my fireplace if anything needs to be done he will be here to fix the problem.  I called him set up an appointment for 1/6/2015 at 2pm.  It was 3pm I called him to find out where he is because there was a no call/ no show.  I reached him at his number to find that he was "at another job that lasted too long, I can be there in a 1/2 hour".  It sounded as though I woke him up and he was at home.  I told him that I will not be interested in his services any longer.  My gas fireplace is not able to be used to this day.

"Two gentlemen arrived, very courteous and professional.  I escorted one gentleman to the furnace area to investigate what would be cleaned.  I was amazed to see what I saw!  Soot (looking more like crumbled dirt and sand) nearly filled the flue; solid evidence there was a serious and potentially unsafe problem in that side of the chimney.  The other gentleman shared that he'd go to the top of the chimney to advise me of the condition.  He also took pictures on their phones so I could see the condition above.  There was no cap on the furnace chimney (I had one on the fireplace chimney).  He also looked into the fireplace chimney which I greatly appreciated.  One gentleman advised me of the cost of the repairs, I agreed to the cost, and they began working.  These gentlemen were outstanding; demonstrating great concern for the safety of my home.  I would not hesitate to use them again.
