"Such a shame that a local business would end up being a scam. This is why people turn away from local companies. Juan Rivera provided us a scope of work to clean up our landscaping and add more stone where needed. Also was to reset the plastic edging that divides the grass from the stone. We agreed to estimate and he did not finished the project but definitely took all the money. Agreed to come out to finish the items he admitted in text were missed. Set a day and time and then never showed up. Has ghosted us since. Filed complaints with agencies. Considering next steps since I do not take kindly to taking money and not completing what was agreed upon. Scam artist for side."

Creative Landscaping Gardening Grass Revitalization Artificial Grass Installation Tree/Bush Removal For Pit It Installation

"We agreed upon a day of the week that my lawn was going to be mowed routinely. I paid him $175 upfront so that he would mow a multi-acre property. He made excuses once on the phone and then never showed up on any day that he said he would be there. Now I have been ignored for almost 2 weeks, and no service was provided. This man has read my messages but won't reply. He is a scammer. He will try to lure you away from Angie's List and/or HomeAdvisor and have you pay him through CashApp only to never provide you a service."

Fountains questions, answered by experts

Fountain maintenance is an important part of having a clean foundation in the first place. To keep your fountain water clean, you can use a water additive designed specifically to limit scale, algae, and other buildup in fountains. Or opt to use white vinegar as a pantry-ready water additive.

Regular water testing, debris removal, and seasonal maintenance ensure healthy water quality.

Consider the pros and cons of installing a water fountain in your backyard:

Pros

  • Fountains can add beauty to your backyard.

  • Creates a relaxing space to enjoy in your yard.

  • Water features can add more value to your home.

Cons

  • Regular maintenance is necessary.

  • Upfront and maintenance costs can escalate quickly.

  • Space may not permit you to install the fountain you want.

Pond water should be changed approximately once a week. When you change it, change around 10% to15% of the water. It’s important to monitor the quality of your pond water as this will determine if it needs to be changed more often, or if you should be changing more or less than 15% of it when you do so.

Lifespans vary by material and manufacturer, but pond liners last anywhere from 10 to 75 years. For example, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pond liners have a life expectancy of up to 20 years. Other types of pond liners, including those made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM), can last 40 to 50 years.
