Customers say: Super punctual

"Insulwise came highly recommended by Aeroseal for insulating our attic and garage ahead of winter. Brady, during the initial consultation, thoroughly discussed various insulation phases based on our budget. We decided on blown-in cellulose for both spaces. The team, Pat, Andrew, and Justin impressed us with their professionalism and completed the project efficiently in just 4 days. Andy also showed up a couple days to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. Their attention to detail in boosting insulation levels was evident, and it significantly improved the overall comfort of our home, maintaining consistent temperatures even during external temperature drops. While Insulwise wasn't the most budget-friendly option, their expertise and exceptional service make them our top recommendation for anyone seeking high-quality insulation solutions. Choose Insulwise for a job well done."

Small jobs welcome

"I wouldnâ t go near anyone else for insulation. Andrewâ s price was much lower and his expertise much higher. Andrew spray-foamed our ~4,000-square-foot home. His bid came in some $5,000 less than competitors, partly because as he convincingly showed me, other insulators are typically spraying far more than needed. I also did not want to spray directly on our 1880s-era wood siding or sheathing as spray foam is notorious for trapping moisture and leading to rot in wood. But he figured out a solution to create a 1-inch air gap behind the spray foam to allow that wood siding to dry out when moist. He also knew other insulation options and really with that above solution, I think we ended up with the best possible insulation for our historic house. I can tell his business is going to do very well in Ohio Valley & Pittsburgh area and wish him the best moving forward."

"What I liked about the people at Bob Casey Insulation is that they made sure everything was done right. A date was set to do the work, the crew showed up on time and they did what they said they were going to do. Which was a really great job. The owner, Bob Casey, came to my house the day of the instillation to oversee the work and instruct the crew on what had to be done. Bob used more material than what was projected for the job, to complete the work, at no increase cost to me. Who does that? The crew left leaving everything perfectly neat and clean. I would definitely recommend Bob Casey, his son and crew to anyone that needs insulation installed in their home."

"It was a pleasure dealing with Mincin and the final result made it worth the expenditure. They did cellulose attic insulation as well as dense packing the floor of an addition from its crawl space. Quite a difference!"

"Bob and his team were great. Bob gave honest advice on the best option to insulate my attic and crawl spaces. The main issue we had was our infants bedroom which had brick walls and 2 windows making it very drafty. While the insulation made a noticeable difference overall, our sons room was still a bit drafty which we expected due to the brick outer walls. Still worth every penny."

"I highly commend this company. Unfortunately I could not have them do the job. He came out, on time, to give me estimate on insulation. He was very honest with me! To do this Job would have required me to have additional projectsâ replace aluminum siding, and holes would be in paneling which was wallpapered over. I am recently widowed and will probably be downsizing in few years. Rather than spending money and doing other projects, decided not to do it. Most companies would have said â oh yes, we can do thisâ and them made a mess! Itâ s nice to know there are still decent, honest companies around."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

Most homeowners installing blown-in insulation as a one-off DIY project should simply rent a blower. They tend to be very heavy, and contractor-grade machines can cost $13,000 to $16,000.

Unless your cellulose insulation is wet, moldy, or showing signs of mildew or pests, there’s no need to remove it before adding new insulation on top of it. Inspect your insulation thoroughly before adding the new insulation, and if you’re unsure how to assess the presence of mold or mildew, talk to a mold remediation specialist near you.

If you’re a savvy DIYer around the house, own the basic tools, and have enough time on your hands, you can definitely install fiberglass insulation yourself. Doing the work yourself will certainly keep overall insulation costs down. However, if you’re not confident in your handy skills around the house, call in a professional.

A dehumidifier can reduce condensation on your ductwork by lowering humidity levels in the air. Condensation occurs when humid, warm air makes contact with cold ducts. A dehumidifier can help maintain your home's indoor humidity below or around 50%, minimizing moisture buildup. However, if condensation is caused by leaks, cracks, or other damage, a dehumidifier won’t solve the problem.

Yes, you should insulate your copper pipes to help regulate their temperature. Well-insulated copper pipes will be protected from freezing and can conserve energy by keeping hot water warm for longer. Foam rubber insulation tubes are the best pipe insulation to prevent freezing since they fit tightly around the pipes while still maintaining some flexibility.
