"Tom Corey (President of Topps) personally made an assessment of the roof.  He climbed up, took pictures and explained what needed to be done.  He also went up into the attic and advised us that our venting needed updated.  We knew of the problems with the roof and the venting so we were pleased that he told us of all the problems we should consider fixing.
He had quoted us last year but we were not ready to do the repairs.  With the roof and skylights leaking this year we requested he do the job.  The price increase was negligible.  We were fortunate that a customer that same day postponed thier roofing job until later in the summer. Tom was able to have a crew come the very next day.  He worked after normal hours to arrange for all the materials to arrive the next morning and they completed the job in 1 and1/2 days - everything including venting and the repair of the siding.  The crew he sent worked diligently and professionally.  Could not have asked for more respectful young men.
We could not have been more pleased with the process and the results.
Another local remodeling firm had also quoted us last year.  They did not climb up on the roof and inspect it, did not look in the attic for additional problems, and did not know that the skylights were a standard size.  Their quote was comparable but only included the roofing (no venting or viyl siding) and insistd the skylights were a custon size so there would be an additional cost (although we knew they were a standard size).

"They put an insulation and it worked fine. When we had a problem they came and they did it and we have insulation. They did the job well. They cut some of the siding but then they replaced it with the extra siding and we knew that would would. But they did the extra more than they should have, we found out that there was actually already insulation in one part. So when we got the bill we got the bill for the full amount and they should have deducted that one part then we called them and explained and that wasn't a problem."

"The quoting process went quickly and was sort of fun, and we made multiple changes during the process including a whole front porch project right in the middle. Dave and Brad were great to work with and extremely accommodating throughout the entire process. Special requests did not upset them, this is rare in a contractor because it throws off their scheduling. We had tiny fixes along the way and those were taken care of promptly making the finished product beautiful and secure.
We had colors picked and pictures of features from other projects we wanted to incorporate and Dave just "made it happen" as close to budget as possible. We enjoyed having him and the crew around, just really great people. There were a few design issues and communication problems that were worked out quickly and to our satisfaction. The pricing was terrific. For way less than what we had done another company quoted us double on just the windows and siding, we saw projects that the higher priced company did in a friends home, we were NOT impressed by either the workmanship or the products. We bought Certainteed Siding, 6 White triple pane Lynnfield replacement windows, 3, triple pane, Sherwood replacement windows in the original interior framing of the house that we just love.  The front door has a custom exterior color and the interior color matches the frame work, and the trim was replaced.
Dave is a real pro in getting your ideas to sync with the materials and suggesting ways to stay within your budget by recommending alternatives. Not a lot of contractors can do that. Not a lot of contractors will or care to do that for a customer. I don't know what else I can say, except that Dave was here again today to quote more projects and Brad fixed a small winterization problem with a piece of siding, so I wanted to leave this review that is way over due.
As for the looks of the project you can judge for yourself from the attached pictures, which I also posted last year on facebook.. If you see Dave's home show display you will see our project on the big screen. We have been stopped by neighbors and UPS and US mail carriers, and people from all over to comment on how beautiful the house turned out, even without any landscaping in place.

"Rep showed up early which was good. But after 3 hour dog and pony show that I had to call an end to. Initially I told the company was looking for siding first, patio door next and if $ left over or package deal replace windows. When rep showed up, first thing I said was my priorities (siding, door, windows). 2 hours into presentation - we really don't do siding we have a "sister" company that if you do the windows/door you will get a customer discount. He wanted to sell me windows/door, completely missed point re: siding and when I kept bringing that up, back to the windows. Then when I finally wanted an estimate, wrote some figures on folded piece of paper which he took with him. 24 hours later still haven't received any written estimates."
