"RCDM Contracting provided an estimate to place a window in our basement. We accepted the offer and paid 1/2 of the project cost as a deposit in mid July 2019. RCDM suggested one date to place the window which was not a day we could have the work done. I reached out through email, Facebook, and phone calls. He stopped replying a month ago. Even once answered the phone and put my husband on hold when my husband identified himself, never returned to the call, and never called us back. We have asked (through email and Facebook messaging) to be contacted about having our deposit returned. RCDM Contracting has not contacted us in any manner. I have NEVER had a contractor take a deposit and then not do the work. He has ghosted us."

"February 2020. Excellent work, great to work with, fair pricing. Highly recommend. We had Todd gut and fully redo our master bath. Ceramic tile floor, expanded tile shower, soaker tub area. Tile work meticulous, interesting use of tile angles. Cleaned up well every night. Stayed on the job all day every day. Installed cabinets, granite, electrical well. Modest charges on change orders. Did helpful items not originally bargained for. Tile kitchen floor replacement beautiful as well. Honest, great guy. Will be our go to contractor."

Alone Eagle Remodeling, LLC was founded in April of 2009 and licensed in January 2010 by the PA Attorney General and is currently providing interior remodeling services to homeowners residing in the Greater Central Pennsylvania Region. If you're looking to save money on a tub replacement, tub to shower conversion or a full bathroom remodeling project, please feel free to give us a call and inquire about our new bathroom packages that will give a custom look and feel while meeting your budget!

"Todd just finished installing a rustic slate shower with a claw foot tub and a vanity in my bathroom. Todd was excellent about handling the idiosyncrasies of an older house. And the tile work he did was amazing. He did the project on schedule, for the estimated cost, and did a masterful job. He was friendly, easy to work with, and had good ideas about how to design things and about how to work around space limitations. He didn’t try to push me toward new-fangled crap that would be easy to install, he was enthusiastic about working with genuine, quality materials. My home is a beautiful, 200-year-old, solidly-built stone house. I wanted a bathroom with the level of quality, beauty, and care that was put into building this house two centuries ago. Todd delivered. He really is a master craftsman."

Cabinet Making questions, answered by experts

Using a shim or another type of self-leveling feet on the bottom edge of your cabinet bases will help to level them out if you’re installing them on a less-than-level surface. To make this process easier, you can add your shims before attaching the bases to your cabinets while they’re still light and easy to move around.

Garage cabinets are different from interior cabinets because they typically hold heavier tools and face more extreme temperature changes since they’re outside your heating and cooling system. For that reason, many homeowners opt for heavy-duty cabinet materials, like metal or steel. However, wood cabinets also work well in a garage for storing lighter items like garden supplies, protective gear, and small tools.

No. Drywall anchors aren’t a good choice for hanging a cabinet because the opening and closing of the cabinet door can cause things to shift, the weight of a mirror is more than most drywall anchors can accommodate, and adding the weight of items stored in the cabinet will make this an even more precarious option. Using the correct mounting bracket for the cabinet you choose is the best way to hang a medicine cabinet.

Contractors commonly install floors before cabinets during a kitchen remodel. It’s the standard option when installing hardwood, vinyl, and tile flooring. Installing flooring first helps prevent height misalignment, ensures a seamless appearance, and saves extra flooring work and costs if you plan to replace or remove any cabinets later.

The cost of bathroom cabinets is $550 on average. You could spend as low as $330 or as much as $42,000 or more, depending on the cabinet size and the type of cabinet you choose.

Stock bathroom cabinets are the most cost-effective option, ranging from $40 to $500 on average. Semi-custom bathroom cabinets range from about $500 to $800 per unit (without installation costs) and offer a wider variety of door and drawer styles than stock cabinets. Custom cabinets range from $700 to $1,000 or more per unit before installation costs.
