"I am a big believer in showing up on time. The day we agreed upon for him to start, he was not at the job at 9:00 am. I called, phone went to Voice Mail. I left at 10:15, believing he was not going to show and I was out my 50% deposit. He then called me at 10:30 to sat he was running late. Too late for me, so we agreed on another day. Same thing. at 10 am somebody i do not know shows up at my door and says he was sent by Joe to do prep work. So he starts. Jow shows up 15 minutes later, I think all is well. He then goes back to his truck, and stays in it for 30 minutes on the phone. Then he tells the kid who came at 10:15 to come in and tell me Joe is sorry but he can't stay. But the good news is that he is sending in his "A" team, and they will be here in 30 minutes. Indeed they do come. I had a 4PM deadline, and since I was only having one room and 2 doors painted (Not even the ceiling, just the walls) I figured no sweat. Well, the "A" team left at 4:30, I missed my 5pm appointment, Joe never called me back to see how it went...nothing. I will say this: The "A" team was very polite, did a nice job, and were good to work with. I liked them very much. But they were not the people I hired originally. When they left at 4:30, the doors they painted were hard to rehang, causing scratches in the new paint job. They volunteered to come back the next day and fix them to their credit - but we were leaving at 4:00am to visit our grandson. All in all, this was not a great experience. I would hesitate before hiring again."
