"Had water damage in basement bedroom suite from a failed facet. Insurance company wanted to have carpet cleaned first before determining if it had to be replaced. Reached out to Garth based on numerous positive reviews to have bedroom carpet cleaned as well as a heavily trafficked family room. Quick response and excellent communication. Provided detailed and honest assessment of service he provides, set realistic expectation and provided estimate. Flexible and quick scheduling. Excellent results in both rooms. He didn't take any short cuts; moved and cleaned under furniture. After cleaning ,the guest bedroom, you would never know there was any water stains. The family room, the carpeting is about 20 year old, but after the cleaning looked as if we had new carpeting installed. Highly recommended and will definitely use him in the future to clean our carpeting."

Couch Cleaning Services questions, answered by experts

Yes, professionals can replace worn-out motors to restore efficient airflow.

As a general rule, HVAC air filters should be replaced every one to three months (or every 90 days). However, the ideal frequency depends on several factors, including the filter type and your home's environment. For instance, if you use thinner filters (1-2 inches deep), have pets, have household members with allergies, smoke indoors, or frequently keep windows open, you may need to change the filter as often as once a month. It's best to follow the manufacturer's recommendation as a guideline and visually inspect the filter monthly to see if it's dirty. Regular filter changes are crucial for maintaining proper airflow, good indoor air quality, and efficient HVAC system operation.

While a whole-house air purification system is more expensive than a portable or room-sized air purifier, they have very different expectations to live up to. Room-level purifiers are available for well under $100, while whole-house units can cost up to several thousand. For individuals in the home with conditions that warrant the use of an air purifier, balancing needs against budget is necessary to determine if the extra cost of a whole-home system is worth it.

Ozone can damage building materials and belongings in your home, as the same oxidizing powers that allow it to remove odors can break down other things in your living space. However, it would take long-term exposure for any noticeable damages to occur. Since ozone smoke removal takes 24 to 36 hours, a treatment or two won’t have much of a negative impact on your belongings.

While an air purifier can trap mold spores and stop them from spreading around your home, it’s not the most effective solution for tackling the problem. Mold is caused by excess moisture and humidity, so there’s a good chance you have an issue somewhere else in your HVAC system that needs to be addressed.
