"Short version: If youâ re looking for a very very knowledgeable person who will take all your wants and concerns into consideration, your search stops here with Lynn at Kesselman Architectural Design. He demonstrated to me that he is the best person for the job! Long version: I spent hours and hours looking at house plans. I found none had what I wanted, and there was one plan I kept coming back to that just wasnâ t quite right. It needed drastic changes, so I began my search on how to get the plans modified to meet my wants. I learned quickly that it is not just a â simpleâ thing to move a wall, or just â make the house smallerâ . In my search, I came across Kesselman Architectural Design. I contacted Lynn and we setup an appointment. I showed him the house I kinda sorta liked and the changes that I would want. After another week, we talked about getting the work done and I showed up at his office the next day and he had the floor layout already done! It was very impressive. After we shook hands and the work started, it was an iterative process. Lynn would make progress, send me updates, I requested changes, heâ d make them, send the drawings back. Lynn made it so smooth and since he captured my vision early on, I rarely had feedback for something that I didnâ t like. It was more of â can you add more outlets and a light here?â kind of thing. I can say with 100% certainty that it was worth it. When I compared my drawings to a house plan bought online by a co-worker, I immediately knew the time and money invested was worthwhile. The details on Lynnâ s drawings far exceed the â store boughtâ plans and will pay dividends in the long run. Plus, these plans are exactly what I wanted! I did not have to settle. I recommend Kesselman Architectural Design for any architectural projects you have. Thanks Lynn! It was GREAT working with you!"

Many years ago architects embraced the philosophy of blending proportions and materials into aesthetic designs appropriate to their time, place and function. That same timeless philosophy will be applied to your project whatever its nature.\n\nGeorge Matuszewski Architect believes great design adds value by successfully meeting, and then exceeding the users goals. It emerges from, and is created for the people and culture unique to each client's business. It does not impose the design firm's own selfdefining style. Although every design is distinctive, each project satisfies a common set of performance criteria. In listening carefully to your ideas, feelings and dreams about your project will enable me to work with you effectively in developing a unique and creative design of which you can be proud; a design you can enjoy now and for a long time to come. When my clients often speak of the indescribable "good feeling" they get from living their completed designs.\n

"Very prompt and professional. I asked him for an estimate for work my mother needed done and he provided the estimate for that work the same time as the estimate for the roof work. He also completed both jobs on the same day."

NOTE: Office closed Nov. 21-30 for family vacation.\n\n"If you're burning with desire to build your new home but just aren't quite sure what the next step is that's best for bringing your dream home design to life, then here's the sure-cure blueprint you've been waiting for..." \n\nA quick note from just a few of our many satisfied clients:\n----------\nIn my line of work I build both log and conventional homes. It can be difficult to find someone who can draw prints for both styles. I received a flyer in advertising Larry's Home Design. I was planning to build a house for myself and decided to try Larry's that way I could gauge whether I would use him for my clients. I was very impressed and since then Larry's Home Design draws prints for all our customers.\n\n- Marvin Fisher, Denlinger-Fisher Builders, New Holland PA\n----------\n"Believe me, Larry & his ability to design structures, is a 'jewel in the rough.' I was referred to him as an experienced log home designer & I had either a log (or log slab) home in mind. I contacted Larry, & in no time, had plans & the specifications. This was to the last nail & piece of siding.\n\nLarry's work is reasonably priced & excellent quality. He knows builders & suppliers who can have you in 'front of the fireplace' in no time."\n\n- James E. Vaughan, Groveport OH\n----------\n\nLarry's Home Designs is a family owned Log and Frame Home Design company with over a decade's worth of home design experience. You get a hard-to-find balance of professional quality work hand in hand with affordable prices.\n\nGood old-fashioned family values and work ethics at an industry low $35/hour and standard service fees will give you the following: \n\n1. One-on-one consulting services on your home's design\n\n* Site Placement Strategies\n* Floor Plan Layouts \n* Window Placements\n* Exterior Details\n* Interior Details\n* Lighting Benefits\n* and much, much more!\n\n2. Full drafting and design services\n\n* Pictorial-View Elevation Drawings\n* Foundation Plans\n* Floor Plans\n* Floor Framing Plans - if needed in critical areas\n* Cross Section Views - if needed in critical areas\n* Roof Framing Plans\n* Electrical Plans\n\n3. Schedule - Friendly Building Code Specifications\n\n* Necessary specifications for structural purposes\n* Electrical plans with lighting placement\n* Mechanical devices such as the furnace, hot water heater and air conditioner.\n* We work directly with your local government in charge of approving your permit.\n\nWe are extremely blessed - so far our plans have a 99% first-time approval rate!\n\n4. User - Friendly Construction Materials Lists\n\nThree distinctly different lists:\n\n* Individual Placement List - this list clearly details every variety of materials needed as \n well as what it is used for. This speeds things up on the construction site. \n* Standard Materials List - everything you need that you buy from a regular lumber yard \n or building supply center.\n* By-The-Load List - this is for scheduling lumber delivery to the job site in stages as \n needed. This way lumber not needed for awhile won't be getting weather-beaten.\n* Plus, Multiple Format Options - Available in print copy, PDF format via email, and \n Microsoft Word. \n\n5. Printing Services\n\nThis includes the practical number of copies of the completed plans and materials lists that a homeowner needs to efficiently see the project through to the finish. \n\n6. Unlimited Phone Follow-up \n\nYou've heard the phrase It ain't over 'til it's over. For a simple, one time fee you get direct personal access to us for as long as it takes until your home is built. Period.\n\nPlus, here are other services you can get from Larry's Home Designs:\n\n* Design work for additions to existing structures\n* A variety of pre-drawn plan sets of vacation cabins through large, feature rich homes.\n* Log home packages\n* Specialty kitchens\n...

Architects questions, answered by experts

Yes, architects specialize in both new construction and renovation projects, ensuring that additions blend seamlessly with existing structures while meeting safety standards.

Federal and Colonial architecture are similar in that they both appear mostly utilitarian and symmetrical, but Federal architecture is a bit more ornate. Federal design often includes decorative palladium windows, window lintels, and, sometimes, columns surrounding a more decorative portico. Inside, Federal architecture is set apart by its centrally-located oval room. Additionally, Federal homes tend to have brick facades, whereas Colonial homes more often have wood siding.

You'll find Arts and Crafts homes across the country in varying styles. On the East Coast, bungalows and Tudor Revivals fill the Boston area through New Jersey. In the West, Mission-style homes incorporate terracotta shingles, white stucco siding, and rounded archways.

An architect ensures compliance with building codes, maximizes space efficiency, enhances functionality, and integrates energy-efficient solutions. Their expertise can also improve workflow and customer experience.

While possible for small projects, professional designers ensure compliance with building codes and structural integrity.
