"We love our cabinets! They look fantastic while remaining affordable. The friendly staff at AWD helped us from start to finish. They are very knowledgeable and gave us advice and tips when needed. They were receptive and patient with our ever-changing needs. Once we finalized our purchase, we received our cabinets within two weeks! The cabinets are very sturdy and the color is beautiful. The hinges and hardware are high quality. We are extremely pleased with AWD and would recommend them to any friends or family looking for good cabinets at a fair price."

"We worked with the BKG Designs location in the North Hills. Noelle was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was on top of everything, very punctual in answering my questions and made me feel at ease with the entire project. BKG was recommended to me and I am so glad we decided to go with them. Our kitchen is small and Noelle was able to not only give us more cabinet space but her design was right on! All of the cabinets fit perfect and you can tell the quality of the workmanship is excellent! We couldn't be happier! I would definitely recommend BKG Designs."

"RedLine Contracting did a great job drywalling my dining room ceiling and the ceiling in my stairwell. Before beginning the job, Gino was very professional, fully explaining the scope and cost of the project. He arrived on time, kept a tidy work area and finished in a timely fashion. I was so happy with the job well done, we are now discussing another home project in the near future. I highly recommend Gino and his team at RedLine Contracting."

"This is our second project with creative. They previously did a bathroom for us.
Overall, we are very pleased with the outcome of our kitchen. Sales team (Eric and Les) were great. Eric was able to guide us in cabinet placement for what made sense for our layout.  Construction team (Tim and Ken) were fantastic. They are the stars of this organization. Everything went very smoothly. Scheduling was right on. Workmanship and quality is first rate.
Some minor hiccups, but nothing that could not be dealt with. If you do a LOT of planning there are not many surprises. Only negative was their granite countertop company. We were not satisfied with their selection or their hours of operation. Creative gave us a credit for the countertop and we went out on our own to purchase.
As others have mentioned this is a one price operation and it pays to know relative prices of all the components before making a informed decision.
Highly recommend."

Closets questions, answered by experts

Yes, 12-inch shelves are often considered the standard closet shelf depth for storing folded clothing, shoes, and small containers. However, if you plan to store bulky items such as blankets, baskets, or cleaning supplies, you may want to go deeper. For specialized layouts, an adjustable system can give you more flexibility.

The differences between a built-in closet and a walk-in aren’t that different from a built-in wardrobe and a walk-in closet. It’s fairly simple—a walk-in closet is a closet you can physically enter, stand in, and walk around in. A built-in (whether wardrobe or closet) is more akin to covered shelves installed into a recess in the wall. Another big difference is walk-in closets almost always have traditional full-size doors, while built-ins either have no doors or use sliding doors.

How many days it takes to remodel a closet will also depend on the scale of the project. Small changes like installing a prefab kit will eat up an afternoon and no more, while a total renovation could require several days to a week. If you’re planning for the latter, plan to secure other sleeping arrangements while construction is ongoing.

Tiny house living requires creative solutions to the one biggest issue: space. Many people in tiny houses find life most manageable if they practice minimalism. Eliminating excess items and clutter makes the living space feel bigger, which can be a significant mood booster. It can also be challenging to get utilities arranged for a tiny house, and building and zoning codes can and often do present unique challenges to overcome.

The vertical space between closet shelves depends on what you're storing. For clothing like shirts and sweaters, 10 to 12 inches is enough. Towels and linens need 12 to 15 inches, while tall storage bins may require 18 inches or more. Overcrowding your shelves can reduce accessibility and increase clutter, so be sure to leave breathing room for your items.
