"Brian is extremely nice and easy to work with. I requested a quote and within 10 minutes he called me and set up a time to come look at my driveway the next day. He arrived on time and quoted me a great price to clean, fill cracks and seal the asphalt. I agreed to the price and he came the very next morning and did a fantastic job. I highly recommend him, in fact I already gave one of his cards to my neighbor who is looking to get his done!"

"John and his crew did an amazing job from start to finish. With his many years of experience, he offered a lot of insight on ideas that really made our driveway perfect. He suggested ideas that we would have never even thought of, such as, a pad for our boys new basketball hoop and making suggestions to make it flow into the different height back patio to the different height front sidewalk. I literally recommend Henry's Paving to everyone I know who is thinking about paving their driveway."

"Contractor was $1,000 below other lowest estimate. Scheduled project around the weather so it would cause the least damage to the property surrounding the project. Excellent work."

Paving Services questions, answered by experts

Yes, recycled asphalt driveway costs can be substantially lower than new asphalt. With new asphalt costing between $90 and $190 per ton, this option can cost as much as 10 times more than laying down asphalt millings.

Like brick, paver, and cobblestone driveways, resin driveways can have intricate patterns using different colors. Aggregates can be laid to create curves, shapes, letters, or numbers. When using custom colors or patterns, homeowners can expect to add an extra $2 to $6 per square foot to achieve their desired look.

While paving a driveway is possible to do as a DIY project, we don’t recommend it. Hiring a driveway professional to pave it will ensure that your driveway looks neat and clean and lasts for years to come, and it will also prevent a weak driveway and, potentially, damage to your foundation. Paving a driveway requires heavy machinery, and while you can rent the equipment needed, operating it close to your garage slab or around your home’s foundation can crack it and lead to structural issues.

Whether you should resurface or replace your asphalt driveway heavily depends on its condition. If the foundation is solid and the damage is minor, resurfacing is your best bet because it’s more affordable and faster than replacing the driveway. But if your driveway has foundational problems and/or severe damage, like large, deep cracks and potholes, then it makes more sense to replace it.

Permeable paving is a good option for a lot of reasons. It can help prevent flooding, keeps harmful chemicals from polluting our water, and can divert water away from your home’s foundation. Plus, it can add a rustic aesthetic to your outdoor area, might prevent pests who breed in water, and may even qualify for tax rebates.
