"Robert and his crew were wonderful. Extremely responsive and the workmanship was great. We have a 100 year old stucco home and they were able to match the texture. Also extremely reasonable pricing. Really can’t say enough good things about Robert and his guys!"

"Perfectly! The guys did the room in one day - base coat and two coats. Even though I created a drama by transposing Sherwin Williams numbers, they were still able to make the correction and finish the room that day!"

"The project went well: Doug was a real artisan in performing the tiling and achieved a very nice effect. There were two delays from the countertop which delayed the project, but Rick and Doug were very flexible about rescheduling, including coming in on a Saturday to complete the job according to the (revised) schedule. Rick was also good at coming up with a design that kept the cost reasonable: no other contractor bid was under $10,000.

"John Rupp & Tom painted the exterior trim & stained the cedar shakes of my house. They are very easy to deal with, professional, helpful, & personable. They went beyond what I expected. The reason that I gave them this rating are: 1. Call back immediately. 2. Did an excellent job. 3. Arranged to do the project quickly before the cold weather will set in. 4. Gave me good advice about other home matters 5. Would hire them again in an instant. Can't get better than that!"

"The team showed up on time and we reviewed everything I wanted done for the demolition as well as the potential option to complete my remodel. Joe and Chris were great to work with! They completed everything for the demolition quickly, efficiently, and courteously. They got everything done when they said they were going to and made sure the work space was clean and neat when they were finished.
Once I decided to have PHI complete the remodel, Tony and his team (including Joe and Chris) swung into action. They completed everything on time and on budget with wonderful attention to detail. The bathroom looks fabulous and I couldn't be more pleased! Working with them was a great experience and I know who I'll be calling whenever I need anything repaired or have another remodel project.

"These guys were efficient, respectful, and did excellent concrete work. The work was reasonably priced, and I was pleased with the result. I will say that they're a small operation, so their communication was pretty informal. But as long as you don't feel like you need a contractor with flashy brochures and such, these guys will do good work for you."

Stucco questions, answered by experts

It typically takes around 30 to 60 minutes for a window pro to replace one window in standard siding types, but a window in stucco will likely take a bit longer because of the density of materials. Custom architectural windows usually require a longer replacement process because of the additional fitting and securing required.

The decision to repair or replace stucco depends on the extent of the damage. For minor issues like small cracks, holes, dirt, stains, or discoloration, a repair is typically sufficient and more cost-effective. These issues can often be resolved with a simple repair, a deep clean, and possibly a new coat of paint. However, for more significant problems such as large cracks, peeling, mold, algae, or structural water damage, a replacement might be necessary. In these cases, it is best to call a professional stucco contractor for an inspection. An expert can assess the severity of the damage, determine if there are deeper issues, and advise whether a repair is adequate or if replacing a section or an entire wall is the more cost-effective, long-term solution.

Well-maintained trim boosts aesthetic appeal and prevents costly future repairs.

The best adhesive that works on stucco is usually a product specified for use on stucco or concrete surfaces. The adhesive will need to be strong to grip the stucco, but should also wipe away clean when used in a temporary application. You can also consider using super glue or hot glue on stucco.

Several clues suggest that your stucco is damaged or has underlying issues. Visual clues include discoloration, cracks, indentations, broken caulking, or visible mold. If you touch your stucco and feel any soft spots, that could also indicate a problem. If you notice any of these concerns, call in an inspector who can confirm your suspicions and help provide solutions.
