"Extremely happy to have hired Insulwise to dense pack the ceiling of my garage. The owner and crew demonstrated their extreme professionalism and integrity to do this job right! I watched the majority of the production , conversed with the crew, and witnessed the entire process. I don’t believe any other company would provide such a complete job. They left the area as clean as it was when they started.i couldn’t recommend them enough over the scores of competitors that I interview prior to choosing Insulwise"

"Our experience with A Perfect Climate was excellent. We needed a full furnace and A/C replacement. The sold us the equipment that matched our space and budget - no up-selling, hidden costs or surprises. The installation was prompt, fast, and clean.  After the job was done, they were very responsive to any follow-up questions we had.  They check all the boxes for what you want from a service vendor.  Highly recommended."

"Very good, almost great. The install team arrived on time, confirmed work order & started the job. In about 4.5 hrs, power was applied & we started to get heat. A quick overview of the HAVC system was given, balance paid all questions answered and there were smiles on most faces. The sales person described the operation of the new HAVC to be quieter than current system and it is. However, the term quieter was not expressed in db difference so a service tech came out and was able to discuss the issue. The whole evolution was a positive event and we will gladly refer Orbit Energy & Power LLC, as a HAVC company that I will work with again."

"Excellent. Chris quoted a reasonable price on wirk. Explained when he would start. Explained how long it would take. We had to reschedule due to Covid and he was understanding and worked with us on getting rescheduled as soon as it was possible. All work completed, system working properly. Had a nice warm and cozy winter and spring. Thanks Chris! We plan to have him back to add air conditioning to our unit soon."

Energy Efficiency Auditing questions, answered by experts

Replacing a window frame will improve your home’s energy efficiency if the old frame is cracked or damaged in a way that allows unconditioned air from the outside into your living space or if you upgrade to a more energy-efficient window frame material. Aluminum is the least energy-efficient window frame material, followed by vinyl and wood. Fiberglass and composite frames are the most energy-efficient.

Solar water heating systems are not one-size-fits-all. You'll likely work with a team of experts to get the job done—including solar panel installers, plumbers, and water heater installers. A specialist will help you decide if a passive or active system is best for your local weather, home layout, roof stability, and your budget.

A good SEER rating for an HVAC system is typically between 15 and 20. However, minimum requirements vary by location; HVAC systems in northern states must have at least a 14 SEER rating, while those in southern states need a minimum of 15. For the highest possible efficiency, look for units with a SEER rating of 21 or higher. It's important to remember that a SEER rating represents the maximum efficiency a unit can achieve, not the level at which it will operate at all times.

Smart glass doesn’t use a lot of electricity, and you can expect a standard window to add between $1 and $2 per year to your electric bills. Smart glass is proof that energy-efficient windows work. Although your smart windows may consume a little energy to operate, they can save enough energy to offset the costs. If you’re concerned about the minimal bump to your electricity consumption, you can opt for smart tint, which doesn’t require electricity to work.

Some types of electric fireplaces use more electricity than others. Models that produce 1,500 watts will have more of an effect on your heating bill than 750-watt models.

Electric fireplaces use an average of $1.85 of electricity every eight hours. These minimal operational costs aren’t likely to make a big difference in your electric bill—unless you’re using it as a primary heating source for your home and it’s running most of the time.
