"Absolutely terrible experience with this company — completely unprofessional, rude, and a total scam. I paid $1,200 for a chimney cleaning and repointing, and the work cracked in less than a week. The job was sloppy, uneven, and poorly done, showing no attention to detail. To make matters worse, one of the workers even quoted us for an additional $5800 job that was illegal, practically impossible, and no plan to pull a permit. When I spoke with the owner, Dave, he cussed me out instead of taking responsibility. His office staff, Larry and Maureen, have ignored my messages for over a week and even tried to excuse his behavior by blaming their “delinquent custodian.” This company clearly has no professionalism, accountability, or integrity."

They prevented me from having a major clean up job. My vent pipe was full of water which could have burst at anytime and caused a major leak into my finished basement. Cracks allow heat and moisture to deteriorate your chimney and harmful carbon monoxide gas to seep into your home. If you want to avoid damaging your home's brick, you should always use a stain specifically formulated for masonry projects. These stains are designed to penetrate the porous surface of the brick and bond with it, unlike paints, which sit on the surface and are prone to peeling and flaking. Look for stains labeled for use on brick or other masonry surfaces. Avoid using regular paint on brick, as it will not adhere well and will likely lead to future maintenance issues. 

You should use an angled brush to first paint the mortar lines, then go in with a high-density roller to evenly paint the bricks one at a time. You can also use a flat paintbrush to paint individual bricks, but a roller is faster and easier to use thanks to its longer handle and wider surface area for coating the bricks. To finish, go in with the paint brush for edges or hard-to-reach areas.

Yes, you can limewash surfaces other than brick. Plaster, stone, stucco, and concrete can all also be limewashed.
