"Fast response… got estimate next day and job completed quickly!! I had 4 aluminum fence posts around gates that were pulling out of ground. They drove inserts down in ground and placed fence post over the inserts… very cool fix to the problem. I have a nice solid fence again. Thank you, East Ridge Fence. Roman was very nice to deal with!"

"Bill and his crew at Tyson Fence are incredible to work with. I have used them multiple times at my home as well as on many of my own job sites. They are reliable, efficient, and always keep the job site clean during installation. 100% recommend giving them a call for all or your fence repair/installation needs! You will not be disappointed."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

DIY is feasible with the proper tools and manual labor, though experienced installers ensure durability and precise alignment.

While it’s possible to remove a fence post with a truck and requires little physical effort, we don’t recommend this method. You can potentially hurt others or yourself or damage your property or vehicle attempting to take a fence post out with a truck. Instead, use a farm jack or a pole puller to remove the post.

In most cases, a fence can only be built on your property with your consent. Not obtaining permission constitutes an encroachment and a violation of your property rights. However, exceptions may apply, such as when the fence is entirely within the property boundaries of the person putting it up and the fence complies with local zoning laws and regulations. If you think a fence infringes on your property or is not up to local standards, consult with local authorities or legal experts to address the issue and protect your property rights.

Yes, a well-built fence can increase your home value as it improves your property’s curb appeal and also provides enhanced security. Online studies show that fences have a 50% recovery rate, meaning investing $10,000 in a new fence can potentially increase your property value by $5,000 in the end. The number may fluctuate depending on the quality, material, and design of your fence.

A barbed wire fence will last an average of 15 to 20 years, but the life expectancy can range anywhere between five and 50 years. Thicker wires last longer, as do fences made with galvanized metal. If the barbed wire fence is in a climate with harsh winters and summers, it likely won’t last more than 10 to 15 years. Failing to keep up with maintenance and repairs will also shorten the lifespan of a barbed wire fence.
