"I contact Brad Brown Electric looking for pricing to run electric to an above ground pool. During the estimating process everything was explained and the price was very reasonable. When concluded the discussion about the pool we talked about my electrical panel which was over 25 years. I was given a price and the office called me with in 48 hours to see if I have any questions. We scheduled the replacement of the panel first and it was done 3 days later. The work done quickly and professionally. I highly recommend Brad Brown electric to anyone needing electrical work."

"I chose Your Electric Now after much research and after getting two other estimates, and could not be happier. John came to the house and did a complete evaluation and estimate, and answered every one of my questions (there were many!) at that time, between then and the install, and during the installation. He and his crew showed up on time and worked for three full days. All work was completed as described, there were no hidden charges, and they did an excellent job cleaning up. I highly recommend them for any electric work."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

To keep your Malvern home safe, create a seasonal inspection routine. In spring, test GFCIs and check outdoor outlets for winter damage. Summer is ideal for inspecting attic and AC wiring. In fall, review heating system connections and holiday lighting. Winter calls for monitoring for ice damage and ensuring backup power sources are ready. Regular seasonal checks help prevent unexpected electrical issues.

Helpful?

In Malvern, using extension cords as permanent wiring, overloading circuits during peak AC season, and skipping routine GFCI testing can all reduce the durability of your electrical system. Allowing moisture to collect in basements or ignoring minor issues like buzzing outlets can lead to corrosion or bigger problems. Failing to update wiring when adding appliances also puts your electrical work at risk.

Helpful?

If your Malvern home was built before 1970, or you notice flickering lights, frequent breaker trips, burning odors, or warm outlets, it’s wise to schedule electrical projects. Homes with older aluminum or knob-and-tube wiring need prompt attention. Seasonal changes, like preparing for summer AC or winter heating, are also ideal times to inspect and update your electrical system.

Helpful?

In Malvern, electrical projects like panel upgrades typically take 1–2 days, while whole-house rewiring may require 3–7 days, especially in homes built before 1980. Smaller jobs, such as outlet or ceiling fan installations, are often finished within a few hours. Permit approval, weather conditions, and the age of your electrical system can all influence how quickly your project is completed.

Helpful?

Before starting electrical projects in Malvern, confirm you have the necessary permits and check if your property is in a historic district or HOA. Always call 811 before digging and coordinate with local utilities for major work. Research and vet local contractors, gathering multiple quotes. Plan for possible weather delays and be prepared for system upgrades if your home was built before 1980.
