"Bob did a really terrific job on many levels.  While deciding on the initial approach and colors, Bob was very helpful in choosing what might work, then going through a couple rounds of doing test areas to be sure I was 100% happy before just pressing ahead. That really made the process much better because I did change the paint color once seeing it on the shutters. 

I should note that my home is set up to be fully accessible and Bob, throughout the process worked extremely diligently to be sure that all his work would never obstruct my required access and was happy to establish a schedule that did not get in either of our way's.

I've worked with probably 6-8 painters and folks in this same general field over the years and by a very large margin, Bob was the best among them.  Bob is truly of the old school craftsmen who take pride in their work and he believes that his work represents his own character. Bob repeatedly made the point that he completely stands behind his work and wants to be sure that I was 100% pleased.

Because of the size of the job, Bob also volunteered to take care of a couple extra things for me. The best to note here is the cleaning and staining of my 6 top teak patio table.  The table is about 6 years old was starting to look a bit weathered.  Once the deck was stained it really stuck out like a sore thumb given how great the deck now looked.  It not only bothered me but it also bothered Bob so he offered to clean and stain the table at no cost.  Afterward it was a decision we were both almost too pleased with, it looked amazing.  The premium stain on the teak looked sensational, and yes, a superlative here is deserved.

A note on cost... You saw I gave Bob all A's other than price, which was a B.  I did that because I wanted to make the point that if your just looking for a cheap quick job,  Bob's not your guy.  He does great work and he's a consummate pro of the old school as I noted, but Bob knows he delivers quality and expects fair compensation.  Perhaps it was unfair to give Bob a B since I was so pleased. In the end I think I got a great job for a fair price, not a great job for a low price..  I hope I'm doing Bob a service here by helping dissuade customers looking for cut rate jobs, I really don't believe that's the Business Bob's in.

Lastly, one always asks if you would recommend or use the provider again, and if answered honestly, probably the most telling questions.   Well, I think I've clearly made the point that I recommend Bob highly.  On the use again point, I already have.  After our 1st snowfall in January my landscapers inadvertently used that horrible snow melt chemical on my drive and deck.  That stuff should be outlawed based on how it literally gets everywhere and destroys any interior surface.   I had to get all that chemical flushed away on an emergency basis.   I called Bob and even though he'd already put away his pressure washer for the winter, he rushed over to my house and within a day had completely re-washed all my decking and drive to get rid of that hideous chemical...  Bob is just a good guy and has made it clear that he's happy to help when needed... Really, what else could you ask from a provider.
