Customers say: Quick response

"Diamond is very professional and takes the time to understand exactly what we needed done. They establish an honest relationship and back it up with excellent questions and suggestions as to how to approach the work we wanted done. They made excellent suggestions as to how to get the results we wanted. The finished product looks fantastic. I can't say enough about the great communications we had during the whole process and how it made the final results as close as what we could hope for. They not only installed drywall in an entire room but repaired sections in two other rooms on the same floor. It was like new. They also modified some of the wiring that was problematic making it much more efficient and cleaner looking. The array of skills they possess is impressive to go along with the quality of work. We had an uneven floor and asked them to level it off for us to install new flooring and that was flawless as well. So impressed with the range of skills and quality of work. I would recommend them quite nstrongly. And we will be looking forward to using them in our future project needs"

Small jobs welcome

"The Pro was outstanding No materials were necessary. The job took approximately 15 minutes. I am a disabled 73 year old Vet and my wife is 83. Everyone knows that people in our category are on fixed incomes. I was charged 395 for 15 minutes to replace 2 short facia sections. The price is predatory in my estimation. So seniors beware. I agreed to the price because I couldn't find anyone else and the job needed to be done for safety reasons. This is not an excuse to take advantage of the elderly."

"Providers met with us first in our home to discuss our needs, share ideas about paint colors, explain estimate, and arrange a schedule.  They were very helpful in coordinating the colors we selected. They knew from past experience which colors were best and were open and honest about our choices. Without their help, we would have been less satisfied with the base color and trim we originally selected. Their experts' eye was invaluable! Their crew arrived promptly on the first day, and followed their predicted schedule throughout the project. There were frequent consultations as the job moved forward, and we were kept well informed about the progress. A careful examination of the house followed the completion of the painting, and it was very important to them that we were completely pleased with their work, which we were. Final touch-ups were made willingly and to our complete satisfaction.  A thorough clean-up of our property occurred at the end of each day's work and when the painting was finished. Ladders and other equipment and materials were stored safely overnight.  In addition to being very competent, the painters were polite, respectful of their surroundings, and willing to answer our questions and receive our comments. The finished product is magnificent, a genuine transformation that beautifies and complements the other homes in the neighborhood.  We believe that the professionalism we were shown is consistent with what they offer their other clients in this area, and we will definitely recommend them to friends and colleagues, and will call them again for future painting needs."

"Justin is so awesome! He stopped by around 3:30 to look over my leaking pipe in the basement. He then came back around 6:30 and fixed it. He was so polite and very knowledgeable. I would hire him again in a heartbeat!"

"There was a lot of jobs in this job and took more than just one day. Every worker who arrived to work was polite, professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Every job was completed  was done well. My daughter and I are very happy with all the jobs that were done. Michael Key was very knowledgeable, polite and professional. He is a "good guy."  Anytime I had a question, I was able to contact him and get answers. I would HIGHLY recommend CC&M to anyone who needs work done on Manufactured Homes. Michael Key is very easy to work with and was willing to work with me with finances."

Deck Repair questions, answered by experts

Ultimately, overapplication of stain can compromise the deck's appearance, durability, and longevity. It may result in an uneven finish, with excess stain pooling, dripping, or drying into thick patches. It can also obscure the wood's natural grain and texture, detracting from the desired aesthetic. Moreover, excessive staining may not fully penetrate the wood, leading to poor adhesion and premature wear. Additionally, thick layers of stain are prone to peeling, cracking, and blistering as they struggle to bond with the surface.

No, you don't need to stain Ipe decking, although you can if you want to change the color. You will, however, need to apply a UV coating if you don't want the natural color to fade. Speak to a deck staining specialist near you to discuss the best options if you want to stain your decking. And remember that you’ll need to seal your Ipe wood deck annually to protect it from scratches and Mother Nature.

For the best results, stay off of your deck for at least 48 hours after sealing it. Giving the sealant at least two full days to cure ensures it can fully penetrate the wood, giving you the most protection from sun and weather damage later on. Walking on the deck too soon can prevent it from properly curing and cause your deck to weather prematurely.

A deck that isn’t attached to a house is called a floating or freestanding deck. These standalone decks are built near ground level, so they usually don’t need deck stairs. Some don’t even require permits. Generally speaking, building a floating deck is faster and more DIY-friendly than constructing one that’s connected to your home.

Materials for a second-story deck must be weather- and rot-resistant, though the specific choices will largely be determined by your budget and style preference. Pressure-treated wood is on the lower end of the price scale, but it can be customized and stained the way you like it. Composite, on the other hand, is pricier for installation and has fewer options for customization, but you’ll save money and time in the long run because it requires little maintenance.
