"Well we were thrilled with his answering right away to our email. He came up the next day May 5th measured our driveway. Told us he'd be in touch with his estimate. May 8th he sent us estimate we hired him. May 16th my husband email him for a date when he could start. He said he'd let us know. My husband sent him another email around May 26 he read email but never answered. My husband removed our fence got things removed for the driveway project. I emailed R&R paving today through this site asking when he would be doing our driveway. He responded right away and said he broke his ankle 2 weeks ago and he wouldn't be doing any paving for the rest of year. Well I'm glad I texted him through this site. I'm sorry he got hurt but if he knew he wouldn't be doing any paving this year couldn't he at least had some respect and answered my husband. We are so disappointed! I sent him an email today June 3rd through Angi list."

"Major flooding to our front yard, causing basement flooding as well. Called Johnny at Alliance. He came and assessed the situation. He devised a cost effective and aesthetically pleasing solution to our water problems. All our work was completed quickly and properly. Maintaining a driveway depends on its material. For concrete and asphalt, it's best to clean the surface thoroughly twice a year with a stiff broom and a pressure washer to remove accumulated dirt and debris. Sealing the driveway is crucial to protect it from water damage and freeze-thaw cycles. Before applying a sealant, pressure wash the surface to remove any loose sealant, dirt, or stains, as sealing over them will trap them. Any cracks or expansion joints should be filled with a flexible polyurethane caulk or asphalt sealer. In colder climates, use sand instead of salt for de-icing. Sand helps melt snow and ice without accelerating the freeze-thaw process, which can cause cracks.

Grass pavers are suitable for heavy foot or vehicle traffic, but they’re not as resistant as concrete or asphalt pavers.

You’ll first need to install a base underneath your pavers for extra stability and drainage. Otherwise, the pavers can sink into the ground, and you’ll have to reinstall them. Use a base gravel layer of 4 to 6 inches for walkways and 10 to 12 inches for driveways. Compact your gravel layer every 2 to 4 inches so it’s nice and solid. After you install your gravel base, apply a 1-inch layer of sand on top.
