"October 2013 was the second time I had Dan from American Drain Cleaning & Plumbing do work at my house.  The first job a couple years ago was to replace the shutoff valve on the line to the outside hose bibb.  The second time (October 2013) was for the 3 jobs listed above.  Both times the work was done professionally and in a timely manner.  Both valve replacements were done with higher quality parts than the builder had used.  After the initial installation, the shower needed adjusting to run hotter and getting that done took a single phone call, and it was done the next day.  So I would say American Drain is responsive to calls after the primary job is done.  The cost for the 3 jobs in October 2013 included the hardware & labor. Based on experiences I have had with other plumbing companies in the area, American Drain Cleaning & Plumbing is more reasonable.  I would recommend them and plan to use them in the future.

"Bill Martins Flood Crew is excellent. In December, just before Christmas, my finished rec room flooded when my sump pump failed--soaked carpet, cardboard boxes, books, furniture with sewer water. I thought I would not find anybody this time of year to help me. But I called Bill Martins from Flood Crew, and he came out right away. He looked at the basement and gave me an analysis of my damage on the spot. He was wonderful. He took care of getting detailed estimates to my insurance company and then made arrangements for me with all the needed specialists. First, I wouldn't have known where to start, and second I wouldn't have had a clue whom to call. I needed crews to remove the carpet, cut out drywall all around to dry it out, check for mold, test for asbestos, and then remove everything. And, of course, fixing the sump pump, installing flooring, putting everything back, and lots of details in between. All of this obviously can't be completed in a week or even a month. My work was not the only project that busy contractors had. My situation was far more complicated than I thought it would be. Ultimately, it took four months, which I thought was very reasonable. And the result is so beautiful--no corners cut, no putting up with mediocre results, all this for the same price and time or less than others quote. Be patient. Be flexible. Talk with Bill about the results you want. Listen to suggestions. Your results will be beyond anything you thought was possible."

"We could not be happier with the Puronics Hydronex iGen Whole home treatment system and Micromax 7000 drinking water system provided by Orbit Water Solutions. Justin, the marketing rep who sold us the system, was very professional and accommodating. Justin took about an hour to demonstrate a series of tests which reflected to quality of our water which had more chlorine and hardness than we expected. If you have concerns for lead, Orbit standard demonstration does test for it so you will need to have a separate test done. After some negotiation, we were able to settle on a deal which got us the system and financing for the next 10 years. Orbit provides annual maintenance services on the machine and there is a lifetime warranty on parts which really assured us we were making an investment to improve our water. The best part about it is that the system travels with you. For a small fee, Orbit will pack the system up and ship it to your next home if you move which was a big selling point for us. Orbit also threw in a subscription to PureSelects soap for the next 10 years which was a nice add-on. PureSelects provides every kind of soap or cleaning product you could ask for so it will be nice not to have to purchase additional soap products in the near future. Within a couple days, the installation team came out to install the system. They arrived on time but the installation took a little bit longer than expected. Turns out our the installed garbage disposal was too large to fit with the RO unit tank under the sink. Orbit was very accommodating though. Orbit purchased a new garbage disposal and installed it free of charge which I bet many companies would not have done. I highly recommend getting the larger of the under sink tanks for the RO unit. Even with the two gallon tank, my family has used up all the water in the tank. A 1 gallon tank would just not have been enough. The water in our house has been incredible since we installed the system a few months ago. We noticed an immediate impact to our skin and hair after using it and our drinking water certainly tastes better. Best of all, we feel confident in the quality of the water we use throughout the house to keep us safe and our appliances in good condition. We highly recommend the investment in the water treatment systems through Orbit."

"The service went very well. They were here at exactly 9 o'clock. They took and install a new faucet in the kitchen that had a leak. The master bathroom had a slight clog he cleared that. Then, the toilet was moving when you sit on it. So he took the toilet off, and replace the seal, and put it back again. We were happy with the work. This was the 2nd time I used the service. I had no problem and I would recommend them. He explained everything he was doing and he clean up after the job was done that you wouldn't know that he was here. I have found a good plumber and I would use them again if needed."

"AirTemp Solutions called me right away on Friday after making initial request on HomeAdvisor. We made an appointment for Monday. On Monday morning I received a call confirming that technician was on the way within 20 minutes. Chris arrived on time, he evaluated the water heater that needed to be replaced, explained what needs to be done and come up with a fair quote. We scheduled installation on Wednesday at 8:00 am. Chris showed up at 8:00 and completed installation and cleaning by 10:00. A pleasure to work with!"

"My home, which was built in 1999,  had an undersized 3-ton Armstrong system that struggled to cool the house on the hottest days.  I did my research and decided on a new Bryant system.  Initially, I got two other estimates before calling Bruce Harmon.  Both of the other contractors were happy to put bigger 4-ton systems in my house.  The problem was, the home builder had also put undersized duct work in my house and neither contractor bothered to do a "Load J" calculation to determine that.
Bruce Harmon was the only contractor of the three that resisted going bigger system-wise without first making sure the duct was big enough via the Load J.  We scheduled an evening when he came out and did his airflow calculations to determine I actually needed a 3.5-ton system in conjunction with some duct modifications to increase airflow and properly cool the house in the summer.  Bruce's estimate was significantly lower than the others even including the substantial duct changes in my basement, plus adding a supply and return to the first floor.  He even submitted the PECO rebates on my behalf.  Bottom line: The new system works great!  Mark me down a very satisfied customer that would highly recommend Harmon Heating and Air Conditioning.

They got the job done in about 5 hours. They left for a little bit to get all the tools they needed and brought back an assistant with him. "Murphy's Plumbing replaced a portion of our sewer line. Jeff presented us with a cost efficient and minimally invasive solution, involving running our line above ground and under our oil tank. He assured us this is "not a big deal". Other plumbers were more alarmist recommending tearing up a lot of our concrete floor or even draining and removing our oil tank to run the line under ground. Steve and crew were extremely efficient and clean, completing the work exactly as expected and on time. Listening to the crew work in the basement, I could tell they are very concerned with doing quality work and have a lot of pride for their trade. Sewer issues are miserable, but Murphy's presented a level-headed and simple solution and took the stress our of the problem. I hope we never need a plumber again, but the reality is we will be hiring them again!"
