Our business was formed when both of the Co owners, Donnie Dishman and Thomas Hawkins SFC Ret, wanted to form a company to give back to the veterans of the United States Military while providing a valuable service to the citizens they help protect. We strive to retain a 50% veteran/civilian employment rate. Our Co owner Tom Hawkins is a 28 year retired Army Veteran, Seargant First Class with a specialty as an Engineer. They installed and grouted subway tile in the kitchen and large tiles in a brick pattern in the foyer/half bath area. They also installed baseboard around the perimeter of the small bathroom and a new toilet and adjusted doors and a radiator cover to make them fit the new floor. I furnished materials except for the cement board for the floor, mastic for all tiling, and new door sweeps. The job required considerable labor and attention to small details. Throughout the project, Dan was communicative and responsive, and both Dan and Dave are easy to work with and aim to please."

If you don’t caulk your bathtub, then there won’t be a watertight seal between your bathtub and the wall tile surrounding it. As a result, water can seep into the wall and the floor and cause the perfect breeding grounds for mold and mildew. Not only does this require costly repairs, but mold can be harmful to those breathing it. 

Two alternatives to reglazing are installing a bathtub inlay or a bathtub liner. An inlay is a low-priced mat that adheres to the bottom of a bathtub or shower. It’s useful for sealing minor leaks and concealing damage on the bottom of a tub. On the other hand, a bathtub liner is essentially a protective casing that goes over the entire tub. They are usually custom-fit and cost more than reglazing yet don’t last as long.

While tubs are fairly sturdy, you may notice cracks or holes. This kind of damage can happen from someone accidentally dropping something heavy into the tub. You might also see damage if you drop something heavy into the tub over and over again (like your extra large bottle of body wash). While you might only notice a small dent at first, this can later turn into a crack or a hole.

Also, certain cleaners that are harmful to your tub can cause damage. And if you have a fiberglass tub, you might see cracks if it was not installed properly with the right support.

Acrylic tubs can fade or turn yellow over time due to thick layers of accumulated dirt, hard water deposits from minerals, and shampoo or soap dyes. Also, as an acrylic tub ages, it may become dull or change color due to changes in the acrylic itself.

Rust should be pretty easy to identify in your bathtub, as it has a dark red, brownish color, and it sits on the surface of the porcelain. It usually appears around metal fixtures, like under your tub spout or shower head, and you might also find it under metal shaving cream cans or razors that you leave sitting on the tub or a shower shelf.
