When I was filling out the paperwork, they told me about the pet's diet and were clear to share with me that my dog was going to be scared and gave me a special collar that he couldn't slip out of. they bathe your dog before you leave, which is nice because most dogs aren't going to want you to give them a bath until you get to know each other better. They also seemed a little sad to see my Murph go, and he seemed to have bonded with them. Because the dogs get socialization time for several hours a day, they seem to have less issues with other dogs than my last dog who was a rescue did. They get happy and socialization time. Just inside the fence line he suggested sinking timbers so when the dog tried to dig, she would keep hitting wood and give up. It seems to be working so far.I can't tell you how pleased I am. The fence is gorgeous, the metal hinges and latch on the front gate look very nice. They were done in one day! As of 4/16, no returned phone calls, no refund check of $1,094. Have also found a few other poor reviews of Tyson Fence online. Wish I'd known it was Tyson prior to contracting with Home Depot.
UPDATE: 4/12/12 - I have telephoned both Jeff Millay, (District Manager) and emailed Colin Koser (Tyson Fence salesman) every day with zero response to my voice mails and my emails. Tyson/Home Depot has $1,094 of my money and has not contacted me in any way about returning my money. Report filed with BBB - not suprisingly, Tyson Fence is not a Better Business Bureau certified company.
# 1) I chose Home Depot because they gave me the best estimate; however, within one day they called back to say they'd made a mistake and my job would actually cost several hundred dollars more. That bait-and-switch should have warned me off them.
# 2) Less than 48 hrs. before installation the subcontractor - TF Installation, or Tyson Fence) called and said they couldn't do it that day - I'd been specific to them about scheduling as I needed to request a vacation day. They wanted to come a day early but I couldn't get that day off work. So we rescheduled for 2 weeks. This was a huge disappointment as I now had a wide open yard where I'd removed a privacy hedge.
# 3) They never showed up on the installation day. No message, no phone call. Nothing. Just never came. They were supposed to come at 7am. So I lost a 2nd Vacation day.
# 4) I called Home Depot at 9am to ask where was the crew. Was told they'd find out and and quot;call back in a couple minutes.and quot; Never called me.
# 5) I called Home Depot at 10am and was told the same as in # 4.
# 6) Was told they can't reach the contractor - no answer - but I could try and they gave me his number. I called and left a vm.
# 7) Had to call twice to get a response. Was told and quot;it's out of my control you have to call the installer.and quot; Asked me to reschedule a THIRD time. I refused. Called the installer. Twice.
#8) Finally reached the installer (TF Installation) who said it wasn't him, but was and quot;Ryan, and quot; and as of the night before and quot;Ryanand quot; was all set to come out. No reason as to why Ryan never came and why I was never called when Ryan didn't show up to work.
#9) All this took 3.5 hours. So it's 12:30 now. Ryan shows up - no fence, no crew. Nothing. Agreed to come and quot;tomorrow.and quot; Why can't you come today? He said he had to drive and quot;all the way to Lancaster and backand quot; - it was 12:30 pm and Lancaster is 30 minutes away. What a poor excuse.
#10) Promised to go get the fence and equipment and come back and leave everything at my house for an early start tomorrow. Came back 6 hours later.
# 11) Came at 10:30am on Saturday. One man, not a and quot;crew.and quot; Ryan, the installer, complained to me that his 10yo son was crying at home because Ryan had promised to take him to Hersheypark that day and couldn't because he had to install my fence. I told him if he'd shown up the day before like he promised he could be at the park. Otherwise it wasn't my problem.
Ryan installed 2 panels. Informed me some of the pieces were marked with black wear marks that wouldn't come off, so it looked shoddy for brand-new vinyl fence. He told me that 7 of the 13 posts and 8 of the 12 panels were marked up. I told him to go and get new panels but of course he couldn't that day as no was was at the warehouse. I told him to call someone and get someone to the warehouse but he refused, saying it wasn't possible.
I told him to put in whatever was good, but he refused. By this time I was FURIOUS and let him know it. I was extremely angry at this 3rd delay and non-cooperativeness of Tyson Fencing.
I've scheduled a 3rd Vacation day for 4/9 (Monday) - I have no trust that he'll show up.
Today I took a sponge to the and quot;black marksand quot; - they cleaned off.
I believe the man didn't want to work on Saturday and lied to me. He'd complained to me that his child was crying at home because he'd promised to take him to Hersheypark that day but couldn't because he had to install my fence. I told him if he'd come on Friday as he'd promised he could've gone to the park.
Home Depot and TF Installation were terrible and unreliable from the beginning. I told them tomorrow is their last chance. If the fence is not properly installed my next phone call is to an attorney.
UPDATE: On Monday Ryan came back and ripped out what he'd already installed. I came home to find him loading up the fencing I'd deposited $1,094 and trying to take it away. I called the cops. Good thing I did. Ryan told me and quot;I thought about it over the weekendand quot; and they decided because I got angry with them they didn't want to do the job. Definite breach of contract. I refused to let Ryan leave until the police came. Tyson Fence sent 3 big trucks and 4 men to my house in an effort to intimidate an almost 60yo woman. Ryan told me his boss was coming with my deposit money.
Boss came. I asked for my money. Jim Tyson said he didn't have it. I have no fence, no money, and no returned phone calls from Home Depot.

It now appears for the Rossmoyne Animal Emergency and Trauma Center per Angie's List since that facility now has the same phone number and contacts that appeared for AEMC. Therefore, it can be assumed that AEMC moved and just changed its name and this review still pertains to its actions as AEMC. A separate review was also submitted for Willow Mill Animal Hospital.
The problem here is that Willow Mill patients were automatically turned over to the Animal Emergency Medical Center (AEMC) for overnight and weekend care. This resulted in hospitalization charges from both Willow Mill and AEMC. I was told by Willow Mill staff that the charges were similar. However, while Willow Mill provided a detailed list of charges, AEMC only provided a summary list by type of charges which can easily hide overcharging. When I got a very large bill for AEMC services, I asked for specifics and never received them. AEMC did check the charges and found an overcharge of $160 (but only after I complained). Also, they charged $60 for the exact same injection that costs only $24 at Willow Mill. When I asked for an explanation why, I was not given an adequate response so I can only assume that they grossly overcharged since you had no choice when your pet was automatically switched over to them at night and weekends. During one hospitalization, AEMC charged me approximately $500 for 12 injections. The exact same injections cost me approximately $225 at Willow Mill. Only once during several hospitalizations did I ever have a vet call me from AEMC to provide an update on my dog when she was very ill. I asked for a call several other times but no one ever called even after I called them. I think the owner of AEMC was also one of the vets at Willow Mill and possibly at Gettysburg Rd Vet Center since they all seem connected by the same vets and personnel. The quality of care was hard to evaluate since all they did was basically watch the dog and give her meds/food but they made sure they charged (and overcharged) for every little service. If you do use them (now in a new locale as Rossmoyne Animal Emergency and Trauma Center), please demand a detailed list of charges (or request an estimate of charges before they do anything for you and ask questions if they seem high) and double check every bill (and compare prices to other vets). You cannot trust these people with your money and maybe also your pet."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/pa/mechanicsburg/rossmoyne-animal-emergency-and-trauma-center-reviews-7897618.htm"},"position":10}]}

FAQs for animal fencing service projects in Harrisburg, PA
There are different types of pet fencing available to keep your furry family member safe:
Chain linkfencing is an affordable but not visually appealing option.
Vinyl panel fencing is less easily damaged than wood.
Wood fencing is customizable but requires regular maintenance.
Metal iron fencing provides a sleek look but doesn’t block your pet’s view.
Electric fencing eliminates the need for a traditional fence, but it could be painful to your pet.
Picket fencing adds to your curb appeal but won’t contain most pets.
Brick or stone fencing stops pets from digging out of the yard but costs more.
Certain types of pet fences, like wireless invisible and GPS fences, have easy installation steps, making them a perfect DIY option. A wired invisible fence is generally beyond the skill set of most homeowners, as it requires digging a trench to lay the wires needed, plus wiring them to the transmitter.
In addition, traditional fences require not only time to install but also transportation of materials, the correct tools to do the job, and usually, additional labor. Sometimes, a permit is needed to build a fence, depending on your location. For these reasons, it’s best to hire a local dog fence installer to complete this task.
The cost to install an invisible fence is $1,325 on average. This cost ranges from $100 to $1,650, depending on the yard size and type of invisible fencing.
An in-ground invisible fence has a transmitter, receiver, and wires that run underground to set up the yard's perimeter, averaging $1,325 for installation. GPS invisible fences use satellite data to create the home boundary and are more cost-effective than wired options, ranging from $100 to $800. Wireless invisible fences create a barrier that relies on radio signals, costing between $100 and $500, depending on the brand and range.
Determining the best type of fence to contain your pet can be tricky. Consult a pet fence installer and consider the following questions:
What size pet do you have? Some fence types, like chain link, are too short to contain large dogs.
Is digging an issue? Some fences, like brick or stone, help minimize digging at the fence line, where wood fences aren’t as adequate.
Do you need to block your pet’s view of the neighbor's yard? Some fences, like metal iron fencing and chain link, don’t offer an obstructed view.
The cost to install a pet fence ranges from $1,500 to $8,000 on average. This cost is primarily dependent on the type of fence material and the width and height of the fence and your geographical location.
A wood privacy fence that is 150 linear feet can range from $1,000 to $4,500. However, the same length of fence in aluminum will cost closer to $4,500 to $6,000. In addition, some states are simply more expensive than others to build a fence due to increased demand and cost of living.
