Animal Boarding Kennels
I have one dog and three cats. One animal is being boarded there. The workers are lovely and they are compassionate and caring. They worked with us when bigger problems come up so we like them. I have been going there for 12 years.

I paid them probably around $300 to $350 the last time that I went there. I have been taking my animals to them for probably about 15 years now. They are very personable there.

I like them very much. I've been going there for 14 years and they take good care of my cats. Their price is reasonable.

They are quick to respond to emergencies, and have worked with us to help defray costs when they can. They have diagnosed correctly some strange ailments, and check in on the animals after surgeries and other procedures to ensure all's going well at home. They know us by name and are friendly and helpful.

Lamb's Gap Animal Hospital and Dr Jennifer Todd are simply wonderful. I have two rescue dogs. Dr Todd provides excellent routine care with yearly visits, test, and vaccinatioins. However, what makes her practice so very great is the caring and the specialized care she gives both my dogs, ranging from health checks not usually routine glaucoma, blood pressure, etc. to care for their particular problems -- allergies, eye problems. Dr Todd continually seeks out answers for the unusual issues which my dogs sometimes have. Additionally her care ofr two years for my very special-needs dog who died in February 2012 at almost 17 was phenomenal, addressing geriatric issues not often covered. Finally, in emergencies everyone at Lamb's Gap is truly dedicated. When one of my dogs was attacked recently and needed emergency care, not only did they tell me to bring him right in, but met us at the door with warm blankets to wrap him in and pads to care for any bleeding. He was treated like a dear baby. Fortunately, he recovered nicely. They even called the next day to make sure he was doing ok.

I gave them a B for a few reasons, as this trip was not the best.
First, their pricing increased significantly. Less than a year ago we had a cat tested for the same thing and the fecal test cost $17.95, this time we were charged $30!! Honestly we knew what it was by the remnants and so did the doctor, I felt the fecal sample test wasn't necessary and for that charge I would have preferred not to run the rest.
Second, the tech came back with the 1.5 pill we had to administer. The doctor didn't come back in or offer to administer the pill. The pill was to be given to her that day so not sure why the vet didn't administer the pill. Needless to say we had quite a lot of difficulty at home. We got the 1/2 pill down but with a lot of foaming and gagging. We cut the full pill in half so it wouldn't be so large. That one did not make it down at all, she choked and gagged and out it came. We crushed it with the other half and put it with tuna. She refused to eat it. So we basically force fed her with our fingers as she gagged and drooled everywhere. It was awful. Felt horrible. Within a minute she vomited everywhere. I called the vet and explained the scenario, the receptionist said to come in the next morning and they'd get another one ready for us.
That morning we called at 8:15 because we came to the conclusion that it should be up to the vet to administer pills. We called to make sure someone would be available to do this process. At this point they couldn't find our chart or any medication. We had early plans and needed to get this done early. They said they'd call back. It was over an hour before they called but they advised they would administer the pill and the receptionist voiced her opinion that she thought it was "odd" that the vet didn't give her the pill the first time we were there and that is something she should have done.
Needless to say the pill was given to her easily by the tech. Much less stress on everyone, especially kitty. Sad thing is, they charged us for yet another pill. $20+

From the receptionist, to the assistants to the veterinarian, everyone is friendly. We've been with Lambs Gap for years. We have all services, from fixing and declawing to euthanization done there. This visit was for a check-up for the new babies, 2-6 month old kittens we adopted from a rescue. One was not developing as well as the other and wanted to have things checked out before any type of surgery was performed. The boy got a clean bill of health! The girl, had an upper respiratory infection and a parasite that was causing her low weight and under development. They also informed us that she had a slight heart murmur but that that could be from the respiratory issues and that they would check it again when she was all better. They prescribed her some medication and advised how to give it to her. The very next day they called to check in on her :) Everyone is pleasant to work with and good listeners. I feel they are there for the animals as they should be.
I gave them a B in cost mainly because I feel some services are overpriced but I have seen worse. When it comes to your family, even furry ones, you want the best so therefore you pay for it.

At each of my visits to Lambs Gap, I am consistently impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. They obviously love both animals and people! It always smells clean without being "bleachy". There's not a lot of seating in the waiting area, but every time I've been, at least one seat is open. They make my cats so comfortable that they purr, even when getting shots. I love this vet!

I like the vets and the technicians and the people that work there. They are all just good. They know me by name and they know all my animals. I have a dog with a chronic disease so I am in there quite a bit. If I have an emergency they get me in quickly. They understand about the cost of things. They are understanding with my animals being sick. I had to put a cat to sleep there one time and the sympathy I got was wonderful. They are good people. I have 5 animals that go there. The last visit was a cheap one. I don't know the prices of other vets. They are very responsive. I've never had to wait too long.

It went very smoothly. Everything was explained ahead of time and that is exactly what happened. We are very satisfied.

Our experiences are always excellent with Dr. Todd. We started taking our first Great Dane to her when he was a puppy. He has since died (but lived for 9 1/2 years which was quite good for a large Dane) and we take our present Dane and small terrier for Vet care.
