"No job too big or small! Did a concrete patio over the summer and rebuilt a retaining wall. Had him back to replace an exhaust in the bathroom and level my basement. Hoping to have some kitchen work done in the near future. I would definitely recommend using them!"

"A Cerminara Construction did a wonderful job on my deck, I couldn’t be happier. The quality and craftsmanship are top notch, and everything with the project was communicated thoroughly and in a timely manner. The company was very respectful and professional as well. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a contractor!"

"This is the second time we have utilized Nate's services during the last month. The first was in our current home which we are preparing to sell. We have utilized the services of several handymen during the last 25 years. Nate is not only the best in terms of his range of capabilities but also the best by far in the consistent quality of his work. We wish we had found Nate much earlier. He is straightforward and honest. He works hard and very intelligently. He is friendly. He has our strongest possible recommendation. Nate is the best!"

"I have a few rental properties, Iâ ve called, and used them several times. Theyâ ve never disappointed me. There have been several times they impressed me. They do my clean ups, and general repairs before the next tenants move in. Theyâ ve had a few major clean ups, they made it look better than when the tenants first moved in. Highly recommended, and will continue to use!"

Caulking Services questions, answered by experts

Reviewing your contract for termination terms is best when ending a relationship with a contractor. If there is nothing in the contract or you had a verbal agreement, communicate your decision in writing, citing specific reasons. Afterward, pay for the completed work per your original agreement. Remember you want a record of all correspondence in case you need a lawyer later to settle disputes.

A contractor specializes in a specific field. They often operate in teams where they have subcontractors to handle specialized problems. So if you have significant plumbing, drywall, or roofing issues, you’ll want to hire a contractor, as the job may require a team.

A handyperson is typically one person who works on whatever jobs come their way. You wouldn’t call a contractor to fix the hinges on cabinets or paint your room. Instead, a handyperson can handle all these issues, saving you from making multiple phone calls.

Whether or not you’re moving the hookups or simply replacing your current units, you should hire a qualified appliance pro to install your new washer and dryer.

Using a pro guarantees correct tools and expertise, preventing potential household mishaps.

You can find a reliable handyperson by looking at professionals in your area and ruling out companies with poor reviews online. Next, check each handyperson on the Better Business Bureau to see if they have a history of complaints and rule out those that do. Finally, you can contact each handyperson to ask the following qualifying questions:

  • What is your hourly rate?

  • Are there any jobs you can’t tackle?

  • Are you fully insured?

  • How many years of experience do you have?

  • Do you have references I can contact?
