"I called because my kitchen sink was stopped up. The woman i spoke with said there was a specual on secondary drain clearimg. Cost was 189.00 plus tax, and was guaranteed. From the time the tech arrived he started talking about a chemical i would need before he even opened the doors to the sink. Also he began telling me that my dawn dishsoap was the worst thing i could be putting down my drain because once it breaks down it turns to animal fat mind you he is continually reassuring me i needed the chemicql only for an additional 242.00 ,still hasn't looked under the sink. Long story shortened my kitchen sink is still inoperable Auchinachie took my 204.12 and gave ne 20ft of snake which did absolutely nothing. I am going to B.B.B. and my Attorney general. Just look at all of the negative reviews on this company. They are bad business. I am a disabled widow. Shame "

The average cost to unclog a drain is around $200, with prices ranging between $110 and $800, depending on the type of drain and the extent of the clog. To keep window wells from filling up with water, you need to stay on top of maintenance. Remove debris as it fills up, and regularly loosen the gravel at the base if it’s become compacted. You can also reslope your yard to make sure water flows away from the window well (and your home’s foundation), and you can even install a window well cover to prevent debris from building up. Installing an actual drainpipe at the base of the well can also prevent window well drainage problems.

Start by unscrewing the overflow valve, which is located on the wall of your tub between the floor drain and the tub spout. Gently insert a plumbing snake down into the pipe, move it back and forth, and pull it out. Remove any hair, debris, and soap scum that comes out with it. Repeat the process until the snake comes out clean, and then reinstall the cap on your overflow valve.

Bleach isn’t likely to help unclog a sewer line. Bleach isn’t useful in this situation because it won’t dissolve the grime and debris in the clog. Instead, you want to use ingredients that will have a chemical reaction to clear out the buildup, like vinegar or salt and baking soda.

With a one-way cleanout, you can access your sewer line from one direction. Depending on the way it curves, a plumber can either access the side of the pipe that goes into your home or the side that goes to your yard. On the other hand, two-way cleanouts allow pros to access both sides of the sewer line, thanks to their dual-pipe design (they’re usually U-shaped).
