"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"Our project was a huge success.  We needed a complete make over of the existing kitchen to get it out of a retro 70's feel and modernize it while still keeping with the overall style of the house (circa 1920 Dutch Colonial). We are extremely pleased with the end result and the process was as we expected. In general, Jeff and his crew were considerate of our needs, communicated well, were very professional, performed high-quality work and asked for specifics on fine detail and design points throughout the project.  Nearly everything was done "right first time", those items that were not initially as expected were promptly corrected to our satisfaction.
During the demolition work, Jeff and his crew were very conscientious and took extra measures to contain dust, etc. related to this phase.  All debris during this and other phases of the project were removed to our satisfaction.
As our house is very old, there were surprises that required modifications to our initial plan.  Some of these situations were compensating for original footprint of kitchen being out of square and finding unexpected heating piping that needed to be moved. Jeff and crew communicated well and explained individual issues, options and worked well with us to reach workable solutions.  Jeff and his crew are experienced and made practical, well-thought out suggestions to us as applicable, some of which we did incorporate.
The final product is amazing.  All cabinets look great and work wonderfully.  The window installation and the air conditioning installation are both perfect.  Pocket door initially was not functioning quite right but was corrected and now works great.  All plumbing, electrical and gas line work are without issue.
I can definitely recommend Jeff for projects similar to this and would not hesitate to consider them for additional work in the future.  Overall a great experience."

"I purchased two coupons for a total of 5 hours to hang the cabinets in my garage, install shoe moulding and patch two bathroom ceilings where I had the exhaust fans replaced.  It was decided that since the cabinets might be heavy, it would be best to have two technicians come out at one time.  One arrived about 20 minutes early, which was fine and the other just a few minutes after 2pm.  The first one immediately got to work installing the cabinets and was able to do it without his partner by setting the cabinet on another cabinet and some blocks of wood.  The installation only took a little over an hour and looks great.  He then installed the shoe moulding in a bedroom where we had installed wood flooring.  There are a couple of gaps where the wood comes together, which could have been cut a little better, but overall it looks fine.
While this work was being done, Bryan got to work patching the holes in the ceiling left behind from a prior exhaust fan that had been quite a bit larger and round.  That work wasn't quite as well executed, but overall I'm happy with Myriad.

"These guys are great from start to finish. My project required some ingenuity since I wanted the rain water to flow to the back of house as opposed to front of house. They completely understood what I wanted. I am so pleased with the work. I had LeafBlaster Pro installed in one cutter that was clogged in the back. I would definitely recommend this company."

Cabinet Making questions, answered by experts

To install cabinet doors evenly, it’s important to make sure that all drilled holes and hardware are in their right places and aligned properly. You can achieve the ideal placement by using a level, straightedge, or other measuring tool. In the event that your cabinet doors are not installed evenly, most hinges allow you to adjust them so that your doors can be perfectly lined up.

If your cabinets don’t reach the ceiling, you can extend them higher, adding visual interest, privacy, and storage space to your kitchen. Depending on the height of your ceiling, you may want to extend the structure of the cabinets and install longer doors to make each individual cabinet taller, or you could add additional cabinets above the existing ones. Either option is cheaper and easier than installing entirely new cabinets.

It is generally more cost-effective to purchase stock or semi-custom cabinets than to have them custom-built. The best option depends on your budget and customization needs.

Here is a breakdown of the average costs per linear foot:

  • Custom Cabinets: $500 to $1,200. The final price is influenced by factors like materials, size, and design complexity. For example, a basic slab cabinet door might cost $60 to $70 for materials, while a more intricate mullioned glass inset panel door can range from $100 to $200 per door.

  • Semi-Custom Cabinets: $150 to $700.

  • Stock Cabinets: $100 to $400. These are pre-built and the most affordable option, but they offer limited customization and may not be suitable for rooms with unusual shapes or high ceilings.

The 1/3 rule is a design guideline used by interior designers and cabinet installers to select appropriately sized pulls for cabinets and drawers. The rule suggests that for a balanced and cohesive look, a cabinet pull should be approximately one-third the height of the cabinet door or one-third the width of the drawer face. This guideline helps create a symmetrical appearance because the human eye tends to follow the length of the pull across the cabinet face.

While the 1/3 rule is a helpful starting point, it is not the only option. If a measurement falls between available pull sizes, it's generally best to size up. For an ultra-contemporary aesthetic, you can also opt for full-width pulls that span the entire drawer.

The cost of bathroom cabinets is $550 on average. You could spend as low as $330 or as much as $42,000 or more, depending on the cabinet size and the type of cabinet you choose.

Stock bathroom cabinets are the most cost-effective option, ranging from $40 to $500 on average. Semi-custom bathroom cabinets range from about $500 to $800 per unit (without installation costs) and offer a wider variety of door and drawer styles than stock cabinets. Custom cabinets range from $700 to $1,000 or more per unit before installation costs.
