"I called Ray around 9:30 pm and he answered the phone right away. I told him several lights had been flickering and when I had gone downstairs I discovered that the breaker box was emitting a burning smell. He said he would be right over. Ray arrived shortly thereafter and diagnosed the problem - Two bad breakers with loose tabs which caused arching and heated up the buss bar. Since the service cable was old and the panel had burnt buss bars it was necessary for these to be replaced. Ray did not have the components necessary to do the repair that evening. I told him that I had plans to go on vacation the next morning and now wondered if I could go at all or for it to be delayed (fortunately this all happened the evening before I had left). He said he would come back first thing in the morning to do the work so that I could leave for vacation but made sure it would be safe before he left. And, if I did notice any more burning to call him right away (which I did not). Ray and his co-worker arrived by 7 am and performed the work. In addition, Ray also installed a new light fixture in the kitchen (ironically, I had called him earlier in the day (mid-afternoon) to do this work but he was so swamped that he could not fit me in, which I understood completely and it was not an emergency. So, I had already found his company off of Angie's List at that time).  Anyway, all the work was  finished well before noon and it was now safe to leave for vacation. Ray was extremely nice as well as professional and I am very thankful that he could help me, even though he had a long day. Ray and his co-worker made sure everything was cleaned up when they left. I would not hesitate to call him again (and intend to do so since I already have another job for him to do)."

"It was slow - 2 weeks and then a couple of weeks for a Man to come 3 days to fix what was wrong.  Also, the cabinets were different color than the sink cabinets.

"I put my old Victorian house on the market this summer, and it sold in two days!. I must give credit to S.L. Contractors and wonderful job they did remodeling my house. I got their name from Angie’s List four years ago. My first project was the painting of all the exterior windows. I have three floors. They even repainted the rusty grills at my basement windows. My kitchen was a challenge. It had pine wood paneling and the layout didn’t work. Mr. Washington changed the appliance layout. I needed my hallway tiles to match my kitchen floor. Mr. Washington searched and found tiles in Texas that matched perfectly. I had a positive experience with S.L. Contractors."

Home Crafters are very professional.  They were the first, after I had called 20-25 roofers, to actually call me back and give me an estimate.  They told me that they would not be the cheapest but they would do the work by the end of the year like I wanted and do a professional job. 

The main roof of the house had cracked shingles and looked ragged.  There were no leaks nor evidence of water leakage inside.  It had 2 layers of shingles on it.

Their estimate included:
- removal of existing material to roof decking,
- inspect deck and replace boards if required for an extra charge,
- Install 30 lb roofing felt,
- install 30 linear feet of ice and water sheild,
- install all new flashing,
- install new 30 year shingles,
- Install new aluminum fascia in front,
- install new aluminum gutter in front.

Total cost was to be $ 8225.00. 

The main reason I did not hire them was that I could not get over the fact that installing the gutter added $ 900.00 to the total cost. I thought gutter installation should have been cheaper.  It turns out that if I would have hired them I would have had the work done by December like I wanted instead of January-February.

I would definitely give these guys a chance in the future. They seem like real professionals.
