"This is the company you want to handle your plumbing needs. Dylan is an honest, hardworking and ethical business owner. After dealing with companies due to a home warranty issue and finding no success with a water heater install, All-Star plumbing stepped up made sure everything was taken care of for me. His pricing is transparent and straightforward. He literally saved me multiple hundreds of dollars compared to these other companies who put the importance of helping the customer second and squeezing every dime out of you as their first concern. Dylan took the time to listen to what my concerns were, and did not try to upset anything. In fact, I have already started to make arrangements to hire him for a second job to install a water purifier system in my home. Great work. This is a company you want to do business with."

The problem with most "pros"? Too many bad habits.\nIt's easy to get swept away in the day to day monotony, even for those that call themselves "pros". When it comes to hiring a heating and cooling technician, nobody wants to deal with being treated like a sale rather than a person, the use of scare tactics instead of education, or someone who just wants to get to job done quickly instead of correctly. \nAll our HVAC pros go through 5 years of HVAC schooling, for a total of 10,000 hours of on-the-job training. And it's not just technical training either; it's training that focuses on you, on making you feel comfortable every step of the way. We will roll out the red carpet for you, both figuratively and literally.\nRed Carpet Treatment\nDuring every visit to a home, we lay out an actual red carpet to prevent any additional mess. But what may be even more important than just protecting your home is making sure you feel like you've received the best in customer service.

"This project was the complete remodel of a split entry, three-bedroom house (in various states of disrepair). I was given a thorough estimate, and we reviewed the work scope in great detail. Even when confronted with some unexpected issues (items that were not obvious until we begin the demo) midstream, they gave me complete Information so that I could make an informed decision on how to proceed. Their work is excellent, they are reliable and easy to communicate with, they are proud of what they do and want you to be happy with the results. My project included general construction, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical assessment. I highly recommend Powerhouse and will continue to use them for my general contracting needs. As I recently told them, **you are my guys from now on!** Thank you, Clayton, JD, and Chris for a job well done!"

Customers say: Quality work

"They were prompt and reasonable, however, I felt the job wasn't completed as the pipe was not covered completely and they left small mounds of dirt in the yard. I discussed this with the owner and he promised to complete the job, but never did. He didn't respond to multiple times I tried to communicate with him, by phone and email."

"A pipe burst on our third floor. The water went downstairs thru the two lower levels and ruined the kitchen and bathroom and also caused a lot of damage in the laundry room. Anthony and Mark were polished and professional and gave us the kitchen and bathroom of our dreams. We were able to remain within budget, while choosing an updated look. Anthony and Mark were professional and have a great sense of humor. They did great work and we had a lot of laughs too. You will LOVE the work that they do and will end up calling them back for other projects!!"

"Had Dave out to work on my furnace yesterday and talked to Rich from RMS to get the ball rolling for my repair. I HIGHLY recommend them! Amazingly honest guys who do quality work. Having them come back out for my hot water tank in the very near future. Gillece recommended replacing my furnace and AC yesterday for $9,990. After I asked them to leave, I called Rich at RMS and had Dave come out. He fixed my issue in 3 hours for $600! Refreshingly honest service during a time when others try to take advantage of you. Cannot recommend RMS enough!"

Water Heaters questions, answered by experts

It is very difficult and dangerous to install your own water heater, so we strongly recommend against tackling this as a DIY project. Not only will you need to wire your water heater, but you’ll also need to connect plumbing to the intake and outlet. Sweating copper pipes and connecting wiring properly are skills most DIYers don’t have, and even if you do feel confident you can do it, working with water and electricity always leaves the potential for electrocution. Hiring a local water heater installer is well worth the investment.

Replacing facilitates energy savings, decreases repair frequency, and aligns with modern safety regulations, maximizing safety.

If you are having trouble determining the right breaker size for your water heater, it is a great idea to contact an electrician near you to help. They can help you determine the best option for your home and install the circuit breaker for you, ensuring that you have all the proper permits and that your circuit breaker won’t overload, which could lead to fire and other damage.

A larger heater requires a larger breaker—unless there’s one already installed. The longer answer to this question is more nuanced. Do you place demands on the heater at the same time as running other heavy-duty appliances like ovens and washing machines? Do you live in an older home that may not have considered the higher electrical demands we have now? Breakers need to be sized at 125% of the load. To find that load, you should call a local electrical pro.

Yes, a heat pump water heater can work in colder climates but it’s much more effective where it’s warm. The reason is that the heat pump needs ambient warmth in the air to compress. The less warmth, the more compression required, thus using more electricity and offsetting the energy-efficient benefits.
