"Excellent service! Team of 3 men showed up as scheduled. Mike called first thing that day to confirm and provide more detailed arrival estimate. "Great moving company, great people!. Jacob and Chris helped us with a small move (about a studio apartment’s worth of stuff) from PA to OH, and they did an excellent job! Everything was done very professionally and efficiently from start to finish. All of the items were handled very carefully, and the logistics of the move were well thought-out. I had a mirror that was broken during transfer (that I wrapped myself), but Jacob took the price off the bill right away, no questions asked. We also booked the move last-minute (less than a week before), and they were able to accommodate us and answer all of our many questions despite it being their busy season! If your unit is not that old, it's worth investigating if a less expensive part, like a rubber seal or a loose hose, is causing the issue.

While unplugging your garbage disposal and plugging it back in may help, most units have an actual reset button, a bright red switch found on the underside of your unit. If your garbage disposal needs resetting, you may notice this button sticking out about a quarter of an inch from the surface of the unit, with which it’s usually flush. Simply depress this reset button to reset the unit, and then test to ensure it’s working about 10 minutes later.

Never put glass in the garbage disposal. It can damage your disposal or eject shards of glass out of the disposal and cause injury. If you get broken glass in your garbage disposal, turn it off and cut the power from the breaker, use a tool like pliers or tongs to remove the glass, and use a wet-dry vacuum to remove the remaining glass pieces. If you can’t access the disposal safely, call a garbage disposal repair pro.

These appliances do unscrew, but you need to disconnect everything properly when you replace your garbage disposal. Make sure you shut the power off to the area first and check that it’s off with a voltage detector. Disconnect the main drain line and P-trap, and then disconnect the dishwasher drain line if you have one connected. You can then unscrew your garbage disposal using a disposal wrench. Just make sure you disconnect the electrical lines before removing your appliance.
