I am so happy that my neighbor referred G&J Waterproofing to me! My basement had so much rain water coming in that I had sand bags in one of the rooms to help soak up the water and I still needed to use a mop in other areas! Harry came the next day to meet with me after I called them and went over everything that needed to be done! If I didn’t understand something, Harry took the time to explain it to me! I really appreciated that! And all the workers were GREAT! G&J really have a great group of guys working for them! They were always willing to answer any questions I had! There was a nice downpour of rain the other day and I didn’t have a drop of water in my basement, so I have G&J to thank for that! I will definitely be referring them to anyone and everyone I know that has any problems with water in their basement! Thank you G&J and thanks to your wonderful crew!

They were hired to correct French drain work that had inside water issues after heavy rains. (Work was done several years ago by another company) Also hired to advise and install any inside wall repair/support to prevent step crack issues in several places. The first day of work , 3 workers showed up with no understanding of the actual work to be done and sadly there was a language issue. Thank goodness for Google translate. Later a Field Inspector showed to help get the work started and clarify the repairs. After recommending and adding additional wall strap work the work was delayed a week to get the additional parts/supplies. The last day of repairs the fiber straps were placed on wrong area of wall and had to be moved after to correct placement. Again a language issue and it took several hours of delay to get it clarified. Work was completed May 30, 2024 and the job site trash/debris is still in my driveway. I have contacted the field inspector once and the office 3 times to inform them and no response as of yet.

Harry and his team took excellent care of our project. They were efficient and thorough. Even my contractor commented on what a great job they did.

These guys were very quick to get in and get the work done. Though they were efficient enough to complete the work quickly without cutting the corners. This project was kind of worst case scenario for a homeowner, and G&J made it as painless as a foundation rebuild can possibly be. I would highly reccomend them!

His crew showed up on the date that he stated that they would start the work. No BS like other contractors out in the Pittsburgh area. As a law enforcement officer in Pittsburgh, PA I am very skeptical who I hire to do work at my home. I trust G&J Waterproofing to get the job done and correctly. They communicate with you during the job which is very rare for other contractors out there. The work done to my basement is waterproofing and they parge the basement walls. I invite anyone to look for themselves at the outstanding work done by this company. I dare you to find another waterproofing company other than G&J Waterproofing. By the way my basement is DRY!!!! Everything about this experience was phenomenal. G&J was wonderful to work with. I was kept informed and they completed the work in 2 days! Not only did they show amazing support, but Rich made sure everything was cleaner than when they started!

G&J Waterproofing did a great job on our basement. The work involved taking up the old floor, installing an interior drain on all exterior walls, sump pump, Polyshield on the walls, membrane and pouring a new cement floor. The work was further complicated when the workers discovered our sewer pipe was not properly connected. This involved bring in a plumber to lay a new sewer pipe. The house was built in 1917, so things were very old downstairs. The whole process took longer since the sewer work took a week. Everything is complete now. The workers are great; this is extremely hot and hard work. Everything was cleaned up and my nitpicky fixes made. Communication behind the homeowner, workers and management needs to be improved upon. There was a lot of work to be done and guidance from the company was appreciated. Katy and Rich were very helpful.

G & J did a wonderful job, both removing our old steps, and replacing them. Rich was the main pro working, and he did a great job. We would definitely hire them again.

It went well. The job took longer than expected due to illness and cautions to protect workers. The company phoned in the mornings to inform us when workman could not come that day. All the workmen were polite and good workers. We always knew what work was going to be done daily.

It went very well! Harry educated me on the process and his skilled team installed an interior french drain in my basement and reinforced my basement walls with carbon fiber straps. I now feel confident that I can finish it. Harry's team went above and beyond with the clean up and also took it upon themselves to repair some other masonry damage around my front steps at no charge. G & J will be at the top of my list for home improvements!!

All went well. Ran into an issue or two which the workers handled professionally. Everything was explained thoroughly throughout the project. Very satisfied with our choice of G & J.

The company was very responsive and Harry was great. They gave us a great price for the drain and sump pump and then said they'll demolish the walls and put up new drywall for $500. This sounded like a great deal. They did a great job with the drain, the basement is dry and no water. We are very happy with that part of the job. However, it didn't seem like the guy doing the drywall really knew what he was doing. The wall looks horrible, they walled in a valve for a water spigot in front of the house. So we will not be able to use it again unless we tear down some of the drywall (could have at least asked what to do with the valve). He did a horrible job with cutting holes for electric plugs (two right next to each other but at different heights) and nothing on the opposite wall (where there used to be one). But he left live wires behind the drywall for that wall (so the electrician had to cut another hole in the wall to get them out). We also have a drop ceiling in that room and when we tried to put that up again, the drywall is very uneven and not high enough so it's been a pain to get the ceiling to look any decent. All in all, we would hire them again for the internal drain but wish we had gone with someone else for the drywall.

Harry (owner) was very knowledgeable and reasonable. Office contact was very responsive. Tyrone and Mike (workers) were fantastic. They were very hardworking, punctual, and professional. They went the extra mile to make sure the project was completed with the highest quality to ensure effectiveness of the solution. Would definitely recommend!

We called Harry to come to our home to do some waterproofing work in our basement. As the work began, we quickly found out our home was in need of serious repair. Harry and his entire crew made what was a very stressful problem to deal with as easy for us as they could. They were here every day working hard and as quick as they could so we could safely get back into our home. Harry sent us photos as the work was being completed because we were not able to stay in the home and explained everything during the process.

Everything went GREA! Ryan arrived one time very professional completed the job!!! I would hire them at the drop of a dime if I ever need them again!!!! Prices were super reasonable!!!!

In the middle of a waterproofing job it was discovered I had a hole under my foundation and garage floor. They stepped up and fixed the hole and added in paving the garage floor with little delay. They are very responsive.

My basement looks 100% better ,since this work was completed. The men worked tirelessly to make sure all areas were covered and protected. .Lots of hard manual labor. Aaron and the workers really bust their butts to make the outcome appealing. They completed the job per the contract.

Harry and his team did a very nice job putting in a french drain in our basement and half of our garage. They were professional and conscientious about their interaction with us during this time of the pandemic. Every worker had a mask on the whole time they were on site. Having the Antimicrobial film put on our kitchen counter tops and basement window was awesome. Dean from Blackout Tinting was very knowledgeable, conscientious and fast when applying the film. He too had a mask on the entire time of the job. Both Harry and Dean were excellent about keeping me informed about issues and questions that I had. They also were very good at calling ahead of time to update me on the progress.
