"I got several quotes for trimming and/or removing a large Silver Maple in our backyard, and the quotes were way expensive for our budget. Parkway came in with a reasonable quote to trim both the Silver Maple and the Oak in our backyard. "They were here all day. I had several trees that needed trimmed and or cut down, a long hedgerow of rose of sharons trimmed and some other smaller work. They were prompt, courteous, efficient and the clean up was unbelieveable. I swear they used a vacuum cleaner. The cost was reasonable for the size of the work that needed done. The recovery time for pruning depends on how much you prune, the species of tree, and how well you care for it afterward. All trees grow new wood and often sprout additional branches after pruning. Ideally, trees should recover from normal pruning after one or two years. Heavy pruning or slow-growing trees may take several years to fully recover.

Unfortunately, if you cut the top off a palm tree, it will die. Instead of budding or branching out, the top begins to slowly rot. That's why having a professional tree trimming at least twice a year is a good idea. If you don’t have experience with trimming your palm tree, you might accidentally cut the top off, leaving a dead and rotting tree in your wake.

Usually, trees cannot grow back after their stump has been ground, but some very hearty types of trees can.
