"Great professional tree removal. Skillfully removed 4 trees on my property while being considerate of my neighbors. Reasonable pricing and came when they said they would. Did an excellent job cleaning up and cutting the wood I wanted to keep. Will definitely be calling them for future tree projects."

"I got several quotes for trimming and/or removing a large Silver Maple in our backyard, and the quotes were way expensive for our budget. Parkway came in with a reasonable quote to trim both the Silver Maple and the Oak in our backyard. They did professional arborist work, excellent clean up/removing debris and they were the friendliest people I've met in the tree business! Hire Parkway! You won't regret it. They truly care for both trees and their customers!"

"Ken Fisher and his crew were professional, organized, and extremely hard workers. Our Oak tree was massive and they were experts in taking the tree down with no damage to our property. They explained the process every step of the way and their clean up was fantastic and done in a timely manner. The cost for the whole project was lower than other tree services and the work done was excellent! I would highly recommend LumberJack Tree Services."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Unfortunately, most of the time you’re out of luck if a neighbor’s tree blocks your view. You don’t have a right to a view, so if you have a tree that’s near the property line but on your neighbor’s property, you can’t cut it to be able to take in a majestic mountain or a beautiful sunrise. In some communities, however, there are ordinances protecting scenic views. Checking into your local laws can help you determine your rights in this situation.

Any tree that needs to be pruned should be pruned to remove dead branches at least once a year. You may need to prune far more often if you’re trying to maintain a certain shape or to save a tree that suddenly becomes infected.

Many consider the Fraser fir to be the most popular type of Christmas tree, but which type of tree sells out near you can depend on region and decorating trends that year. For example, the Leyland cypress is especially popular in the Southeast, according to the National Christmas Tree Association.

The lifespan of a bird's nest depends on the species. The building process can take from two days to three weeks. Once built, the nesting period for baby birds can last from two to ten weeks before they leave the nest. While most young birds are ready in two to six weeks, some predatory species may need up to two and a half months. Some species nest four to five times per year, so a nest could remain in use for several months. For specific information about a particular nest's longevity, it is best to consult a wildlife professional.

A chainsaw is the best tool to cut down a tree, but you may also use a handsaw or ax. You may also want to use a lopper or pole saw to remove limbs before cutting down the tree. Wear chainsaw chaps and protective gear, including eyewear and earplugs if you use a chainsaw. Again, if you’re unsure about how to use this tool, this project may be one to skip.
