"I recently had the pleasure of working with Erik from First State Ponds, and I can't recommend him enough. Erik traveled all the way from Delaware to Maryland to service my pond, which was having persistent issues with murky water. Before connecting with Erik, I had already been advised by another company to purchase a specific filter and pump. Thankfully, I found First State Ponds just in time. Erik took the time to explain that while the recommended filter might clear my water, it would require constant maintenance. He suggested a different filter and a stronger pump, but he was also willing to install the one I had already purchased if I preferred. After some consideration, I decided to take his advice and returned the original filter to have him install his recommended system. After struggling with murky water all summer, l admit, I was a bit skeptical. I wasn't sure that anything would truly work. But Erik's recommendation exceeded even his own predictions. Within just two days, the water was crystal clear! I didn't really think that was possible. There were a few challenges during installation and I admit this was 100% due to a few things I had set up prior to meeting Erik. But he handled them seamlessly, troubleshooting as needed. "We scheduled to have our retaining wall done back in April. Kelly, the owner came out to give us a quote and we scheduled it. He said he had some other Jobs to do before ours but he would fit us in during the month of August and we should reach out to him around the end of July to get a more firm date line of when he would break ground to fix our falling retaining wall. I reached out at the end of July as we discussed and he said due to the rain he didn’t know when he would get to us but it would definitely be in the month of August. I told him that we were selling our house and as long as I could have a firm week that he begin work- that would be enough information to list our home for the new buyers. He gave me the runaround and said due to the rain he would still not be able to make it out and wouldn’t know when he would be able to make it out. I gave him another week and checked the weather, it rained one day but the ground was solid and dry for over a week and still we heard nothing from him. We reached out again in the middle of August, the 14th, And I asked him if he knew which week he might be able to start work, and he tells me I should sell the house as is. Bet your britches I will attach a screenshot of his response. So unprofessional, he wasted my time for months and because I had him scheduled of course I did not schedule another company to do the work I needed done! He was rude and short and uninformative. I tried to be nice and civil, even extra friendly to let him know I was flexible and I asked him if he knew which week he might be able to start work, and he tells me I should sell the house as is. Bet your britches I will attach a screenshot of his response if I could!! in February 1997, i opened my own business Prior to 1997 i worked for my father's swimming pool business for 20 years. In those 20 years i gained experience with in-ground and above-ground pools, spas, pool renovations, retaining walls, brick and concrete patios, water features, waterfalls, fountains, fiber optic lights, auto covers and safety covers. to date i have installed an estimated 500 pools, both residential and commercial. In April of 1999 i opened a swimming pool retail store to better meet my customer's needs. The store offers a variety of pool toys, lounges, basketball, and volleyball games. By carrying a full line of pool and spa chemicals and offering water testing to ensure your pool is properly balanced, I further keep my commitment of servicing what I sell. I have a lot to offer you as a customer. Since I am not a large company, my goal is quality not quantity. You become a personal customer to me, not just another job. We do 90% of the work ourselves, which gives me maximum control of our time frame and the quality of the job. Where you drain a hot tub largely depends on local regulations, but you must not drain chemically treated water where it can damage the environment. Direct the water toward a sanitary sewer drain that will take it to a treatment facility. Whether you can repair a hot tub depends on the severity of the problem and the location. With the right tools and knowledge, you can fix problems like small leaks or switching out a dirty filter. However, electrical and plumbing issues require a licensed professional due to the inherent risk, particularly when mixing water with electricity.

You should put chlorine in your hot tub on a regular basis. To keep bacteria away, keep the chlorine level in your hot tub at between 3-5 mg/l, which may mean you need to add chlorine daily or at least every two to three days. Don’t add chlorine to your hot tub water more than once per day.

How often you change the water in your swim spa depends on how often you use it. Most manufacturers recommend changing the water every three to six months. If you use your swim spa throughout the seasons, it’s a good idea to set up a quarterly deep cleaning schedule. The ideal instructions should be in the owner’s manual.
