"Spectacular!!!! I shopped around a few companies to purchase and install zone heating and cooling in my house. Rinker was hands down the best. From the initial consult, to the install, and even follow up questions almost a year later, everyone is attentive, polite, and professional. While they are slightly, and I mean slightly, more expensive than some competitors, the cost difference is more than justified by the quality of the product and the service. Not to mention, switching from electric baseboard heat all over my house to 1 Mitsubishi unit on each floor (2 total) has saved me so much money!!! An actual electric bill last year hit $900 for 1 month. The same month this year with the new set up was only $176!!! The monthly savings, plus the various tax credits and rebates are more than justifying the switch. Stop looking, call Rinker today before you get hit with another ridiculous heating bill this winter!"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

If your Dallas home has frequent breaker trips, flickering lights, or outdated two-prong outlets, it may be time for electrical upgrades. Homes built in the 1950s-1970s often have aluminum or knob-and-tube wiring, which can be a safety concern. An older electrical panel or too few outlets for modern needs are also signs your home could benefit from updated electrical work.

Helpful?

Upgrading electrical systems in Dallas homes enhances comfort and safety, especially during cold winters when heating and appliance use increase. Modern wiring supports home offices, smart devices, and electric vehicle chargers. Adding outlets and upgrading panels reduces overload risks. These improvements make your home more functional, boost daily convenience, and can increase property value in the Dallas real estate market.

Helpful?

In Dallas, copper wiring is preferred for most electrical projects due to its reliability. Install GFCI outlets in kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor spaces for safety. Use PVC or metal conduit outdoors to withstand local weather, and choose weatherproof covers for exterior outlets. Whole-house surge protectors and arc-fault breakers in bedrooms and living areas add extra protection against electrical hazards.

Helpful?

Be cautious of quotes in Dallas that lack clear local references, don’t detail the scope of work, or seem unusually low, as these may indicate shortcuts or subpar materials. Watch for vague estimates, pressure to pay cash, or reluctance to provide proof of insurance. A reputable professional will answer your questions clearly and provide a written, detailed quote for your electrical project.

Helpful?

For electrical work in Dallas, keep essential tools like a non-contact voltage tester, digital multimeter, insulated screwdrivers, and wire strippers. Stock up on wire nuts, electrical tape rated for cold weather, GFCI outlet testers, and a flashlight. Having 12 and 14 AWG wire and a circuit breaker finder is helpful. Prepare for winter outages with extra batteries and portable lighting.
