"Excellent work at a fair price. Punctual and professional. Respectful of property and requests. Most people will stop reading at this point, but I suggest you continue for a brief example of how qenuine Ryan is. While he was here doing the job, I was helping an elderly neighbor remove a fallen tree from their yard when the tire on my pull behind lawn cart blew. Not only did Ryan offer to help me fix the cart but he helped me unload and stack the wood free of charge and still finished the job on schedule. A true stand up young man."

Customers say: Quality work

"Kevin (the owner) and his team were extremely helpful in helping me get my land cleared. I had no idea what I was doing, and he made insightful suggestions that allowed me to make an informed decision with the specifics. Kevin made sure to ask me questions that helped me let him know exactly what I was looking for and needed. I will definitely use them in the future for future projects as well as recommend to my friends."

Customers say: Quick response

"5 Stars – Excellent Service and Craftsmanship! I recently hired Primetime Masonry & Concrete to remove several trees and replace my old sidewalk, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From start to finish, the team was professional, efficient, and incredibly skilled. They handled the tree removal safely and quickly, and the new sidewalk looks fantastic—clean, level, and beautifully finished. Communication was clear throughout the project, and they made sure everything was done to my satisfaction. It’s rare to find a company that combines quality work with great customer service, but Primetime truly delivered. Highly recommend them!"

Excavating questions, answered by experts

Call 811 to locate and mark the gas lines at least three days before digging. In many areas, you can dig within 18 inches of the lines, though in some locations, the distance may be further. Check local regulations, as you may need a utility company representative onsite when digging. Document your calls to 811 and precautions taken to avoid gas lines. A homeowner can be held liable for hitting a gas line in some cases, but contacting the proper authorities and following all guidelines can offer protection.

Some two-in-one tools and machines do both jobs, and those could be the right solution for smaller residential projects. However, the phrase “use the right tool for the job” definitely applies to digging. For the best results, get two separate tools for your trenching and landscape edging projects or call a pro to take care of everything for you.

Underground downspouts refer to the sections of downspout extensions that lead away from your home and gutter system. While they cost more than traditional extensions, they can provide several benefits, such as less frequent damage and no need to move them for lawn care tasks. Whether they're worth it or not depends on your budget at installation time and how much convenience they'll add to your situation.

You should dig 3 to 6 inches deep for plastic edging. Dig as wide as you need to fit your plastic edging into it—2 inches is usually sufficient.

No, a ditch isn’t a trench. A ditch is an open, relatively shallow channel that’s carved out of the ground and used for drainage purposes. In contrast, a trench is a deeper excavation that’s entirely underground. Trenches have many uses, including gas lines, sewage systems, and electrical wiring. Unlike trenches, ditches don’t get filled back in with dirt after they’re dug.
