"I couldn’t be happier with the job! Mike came out and gave me an estimate very quick. He gave me a great price and they did wonderful work. They came out and started the job a week after I signed the contract and were done in 3 days. Everything was done very professionally. I had them tear down an old deck and pour a 10x26 patio and new steps. It looks beautiful. It’s been 2 months and everything still looks perfect."

"Randy was great and called me within minutes to get details on the project, then arranged to have Tony, one of their masons, come see it in person. Tony was friendly, professional, and did a great job once I decided to go with them to repair some crumbling brick walls in our backyard. I appreciate how quickly they were able to start the work, within a couple weeks from inquiry to completion. Would recommend to anyone needing masonry done."

"My family has been utilizing Tommy Stokes masonry for years. If find him to be on time, on budget, him and his crews are highly professional and leave the work site neat and clean. They communicate extremely well for scheduling the projects. I personally would give him a 5 star rating on his overall business practices, skills and dependability."

"The men from Waterproofing One were very through and professional. They removed the dirt along side the affected wall and dug down about four feet. In doing so, they removed the bushes that were growing there because their roots were affecting the structure of the wall. A new concrete barrier was laid on the outside basement wall with plastic piping to conduct the water to the French drain. Upon my request, instead of foliage being put back, a cement slab was laid over the hole that was dug to enlarge the driveway which is between my neighbor's house and mine.

Masonry questions, answered by experts

Yes, it is usually possible to repair a damaged brick mailbox. A professional brick mason or masonry contractor can perform the repairs. They can assess the damage, provide an estimate, and help you determine if the repair is worthwhile based on the mailbox's value and the extent of the damage. The repair process may involve sourcing replacement bricks and mortar. Damaged bricks can be cut out and replaced, or the mortar joints can be cut out and retucked. It's important to note that the new mortar may differ in color from the original. If the mailbox insert itself is damaged, it can typically be cut out and replaced as well. If your brick mailbox has been completely destroyed, you should check with your local building code enforcement office before rebuilding, as some areas do not allow brick mailboxes due to the potential hazard they pose to drivers.

Staining or painting brick isn’t something to do on a whim. Make sure you really want to live with stained brick, because once you apply the stain, it’s permanent. Sure, it will fade over time, but you can’t restore the brick to its natural tones after applying a stain or paint.

A chimney cleaning brick or log can help loosen creosote between professional chimney cleaning appointments. Although they can help keep your chimney cleaner, they are not a substitute for chimney sweeping and are not meant to be used regularly.

Natural stone is formed in deep layers of the Earth through natural processes over thousands of years. The solid composition formations become massive rock beds, or quarries, from which miners extract them.

You can hang holiday lights on brick without drilling by using hot glue, outdoor tape, or brick clips for your project. There are plenty of alternatives to consider, so consult a professional Christmas light installer to discuss the best options to preserve your brick exterior.
