I graded him an A mostly because of his professionalism and his price. His price was way better than other people we had come out and give us quotes. He cleaned up the area when he was done with the work. It took about 3 hours to complete the work.

I was excited to hire Joe to do brick repointing after seeing positive reviews. He had people come and do the initial work which was satisfactory. A couple days after the work I noticed that they did not complete a section of the repoint. They had removed mortar and not replaced it so it is exposed. I let Joe know and he said they would get back right away. I waited a couple of weeks and no one came. When I reached out to Joe he told me one of his employees was supposed to come and do it. He said the employee never told him he hadn't done the work. Joe was apologetic and set up another time to come. Again he didn't come and there was another apology and promise to come. Since then I have asked him to come out again and again. Most recently, he told me that he would 100% be there on January 19 and I still haven't seen him. He isn't calling back now either. I would not hire Joe again. Finishing the work you started and keeping your word are minimums for contractors and he has not lived up to that basic standard.

Joe is a true professional and did an excellent job.  He was easy to contact and always returned phone calls and texts promptly.  The work was first rate and completed in a timely manner.  He was flexible with scheduling his 2 days of work so that we could coordinate window replacement by another contractor between the 2 days.  His price was fair and exactly as quoted and he even added a minor repair to anchor a door frame to the brick at cost!  I will definitely use Joe again in the future!

Joe was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable.  He arrived on time with one other employee and completed the work in one day.  They kept the work area clean and removed all excess materials when they were done.  The price was exactly as quoted and he even fixed one of my flagstone steps, that was loose, free of charge.  I highly recommend JLM Contracting and would use them again in the future.

Joe was great. He came out right away and assessed the problem. He was friendly and informative. He was honest about the problem. He was very professional. He started work right away and completed job in the scheduled time frame. Overall great job.

Contractor arrived promptly. He did a good job repairing and finishing basement

walls that were in poor condition.































 

JOE SHOWED UP EARLY ON THE DATE PROMISED TO DO THE REPAIR WORK,AND GOT STARTED WRIGHT AWAY. THET WERE COURTEOUS TO WEAR SHOE PROTECTION AS NOT TO DIRTY MY RUGS.THEY KEPT ME INFORMED WITH THEIR WORK PROGRESS AND ALWAYS ASKED ME ABOUT THE JOB DETAILS.THE WORKED WAS FINISHED IN A RESONABLE TIME PERIOD,THE QUALITY WAS GOOD.THEY ALSO DID SOME EXTRA TOUCH UP WORK THAT THEY DID NOT CHARGE ME FOR. I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.

Joe is extremely professional--a busy guy and clearly a victim of his own success! Did not stop him from being very communicative and attentive. Met with me in person to discuss job details and then followed up with a lengthy, step-by-step breakdown of the work that would be conducted. Also sent me updates via text message. His team left the site spotless when the job was done. Would strongly recommend.

I contacted  JLM Contracting and they returned my call quickly. My contact, Joe Misnik, made an effort to come out for an appraisal as soon as possible but also was able to work around my schedule. The appraisal lasted approximately 20 - 30 minutes, during which time I thought Joe did a good job of asking me questions and coming up with a thoughtful estimate. I liked that he gave me several options for the work that I wanted done (fixing a leak  in the exterior facade of our house) in different price ranges. I felt that he was honest about what needed to be done and did not push the most expensive option.
When we decided to go with JLM, Joe was able to schedule us almost immediately for a Saturday morning. He and a partner came out and completed the work in only a few hours. While doing the work, they were courteous and were particularly concerned about not wanting to get dust and debris in our house. Before they left, Joe made sure to show me the work that they had done. About two weeks later, Joe made a follow up call to make sure everything was good. 

I have a stone front on my home and there were areas where the mortar was cracked and/or missing.  I also needed caulking where my walkway was separating from the steps.  It wasn't a big job, but I knew that if I didn't make these repairs now, I could have bigger problems down the road.  I had trouble getting masons out to do the job because it wasn't a big job. In fact, the first guy who came out told me he would have to charge me more to make it worth his while. Joe came out to do the estimate and completed the work within a week.  He had the best price of the three estimates I got.  He even did a little extra caulking for me and gave me some advice for some roofing work he noticed that I needed.  The biggest concern was that we wouldn't be able to match the color of the mortar since it was 60 years old.  But Joe knew exactly what to do and it looks great.  He was prompt, personable, and professional. I would highly recommend Joe and will call him again if I need him.

Joe responded promptly to my initial call, gave me a written estimate within a couple days. Once I confirmed the job was his we scheduled work within the week. His crew showed up on time, were pleasant & courteous. The foundation was completed in less time than originally stated. As the window was a special order size, it was done about 10 days later, as planned.

   I would definitely recommend this company. The work is quality, done well. They cleaned up after themselves and were very understanding and patient re need for safety involving my dogs.

My experience with Joe & his team was top notch. The brick flower box that runs the width of our house was old and crumbling so I found JLM on Angie's List and Joe came right away to view the project and inform me of what was required. Joe and his team came on a Sunday morning and worked on our flower box for most of the day, it now looks beautiful. He first used a gadget to remove the crumbling mortar, which he then replaced. As the flower box sits against my house I was worried that water/general dampness would seep through the walls, so Joe sealed these areas. Joe is a perfectionist, and in masonry this is a great characteristic to have. He is also very professional and a good communicator. I felt confident and was not at all worried while they worked on our project. I would highly recommend Joe and his team - they do beautiful and high quality work. 

I called 4 or 5 different companies and had them  give me estimates, his price  was on the lower end of all the estimates (1475 for everything) .I chose him because he was the most professional off all the companies who had come to give me estimates and he was able to get the job done in the time frame I wanted. He was able to start the job when he had promised and was done in a reasonable amount of time. He was punctual and efficient.  He showed up ready to work and didn't stop until the job was done. The job came out exactly as promised and i was extremely satisfied with the quality and price.
