"Got in touch with Catch Them Critterz through Angi to take care of a squirrel in the soffit problem.I first hired a company called Furs and Feathers. They came a set a trap, charged me $500, and never returned to check it for 2 months. They wouldn't even return my calls. Catch Them Critterz came out when they said would and caught the squirrel in 2 days. They followed up every day to make sure there were no more squirrels in the soffit before closing the entry hole. Problem solved in one week. Would definitely hire again or refer. True pros. Happy I found these guys."

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

Yes, in some cases if your damper is left open, animals can come down your chimney. In these instances, it’s more likely that they have fallen in while looking for a safe spot rather than entered your house intentionally. Leaving your damper closed or installing a chimney cap can prevent animals from coming inside.

Birds eat grass seed for one simple reason—it’s delicious! The seeds are rich in nutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. Seeds are also high in energy, so humans eat trail mix loaded with seeds and nuts for long-distance activities. Grass seed, when unprotected, is also exceptionally easy to access.

Yes, predator decoys work to keep birds away, at least temporarily. However, if the decoy remains motionless in the same spot for a long enough time, the birds will eventually wise up and realize it's a fake. Keep changing the location of the predator decoy to ensure that the birds keep their guard up and maintain their distance.

An owl's worst enemy in the wild is often other raptors and environmental factors. Among the avian threats, larger owls or other birds of prey can pose a danger, engaging in territorial disputes or competing for food resources. Terrestrial predators like foxes, raccoons, and larger mammals may target owl nests or young fledglings. Environmental factors like severe weather conditions, habitat loss, and food availability changes can also significantly impact owl populations.

Woodpeckers peck at the break of dawn and take a break whenever the sun is not shining. On sunny days, expect pecking from dawn to dusk. On cloudy days, expect sporadic pecking when the sun peeks through. These birds are most active in the spring; you’ll hear them drumming as soon as the weather turns warm.
