"They were extremely helpful and professional. Gary was super. He came up with some ideas that we hadn't even considered and they turned out beautifully. The installers were also terrific. They had to tear out the old kitchen, build a wall and replace a window and install the new cabinets and island. Only took 3 days. They also checked back to make sure everything was still working fine. I know you could probably  find cheaper cabinets, but not of this quality or the expert installation. Would definitely highly recommend.

"Elliot called me in reply to my online inquiry. He (patiently and professionally) answered my many coverage and price questions, then gave me time to 'digest' it all and called me back (as promised) at 4PM...to answer more questions. Elliot also worked with me to secure the maximum amount of discount savings. Time will tell if the warranty coverage/work is what it's cracked up to be, but Elliot Chahino is an excellent salesperson. Reach out to him directly if you want the same level of service attention. Overall, Jesse and his team were wonderful to work with.  They were all very respectful and nice.  The team tried to leave as much as the wiring and the floor as possible, as not to demo everything.  In the demolition process, however, some of the screws for the light fixtures went missing (not a terrible thing, but a small hassle).  The whole process took about a week, and the drain and the walls were fixed.  Our house doesn't smell moldy anymore which is a great plus!  Two small things which bothered me slightly after the fact, was that the foreman, Bryan, said he would return a window insert for our basement window, which he hasn't done yet (it keeps air from entering the basement).  Also, instead of unscrewing some piping around the dryer vent, it seems that they have just ripped it out (but that was an easy fix on our end...we just got a new aluminum pipe for the dryer).

The team put plastic sheeting down to protect the furniture on the first floor where they had to come in and out of to get to the basement (we don't have basement access).  They also did a cursory cleaning before they left each day, which I appreciated.  It wasn't a deep clean, but that wasn't expected either.

Jesse offered, kindly, to help us find some contractors who could help replace the drywall/studs and retile our floor; however, his contacts were all busy and weren't able to help us.  We ended up contacting some contractors through Angie's list to help us return our basement to its finished self.

It has been about a week and half after the work was completed, and the system seems to be working (and we have had some crazy rain storms).  Although there is a puddle of water that collects around the lid of the sump pump, which worries me slightly.  I have called Jesse to ask him if that's normal, but otherwise the work was well done!

I thought fit was a leak in the pipes. However, the toilet upstairs was leaking, which caused water to run down into the kitchen that made the ceiling leak. They were able to open up the ceiling, find the problem, and fixed the problem in such expediate timing. The work was excellent, and I would hire them from here on to fix any problem that I would have in the household.

House Leveling FAQs, answered by experts

A slurry of cement, sand, and water is injected beneath the concrete to lift and stabilize it.

The polyurethane used for polyjacking will expand and cure in 15 to 30 minutes. After that point, your slab will be safe to walk on and even drive on in the case of a sidewalk or concrete driveway. Double-check with your concrete lifting specialist to confirm a curing timeline, as products can differ.

Mudjacking can be an expensive foundation repair process, but in many cases, it’s well worth the investment. This is especially true if you’re lifting a portion of sunken foundation slab back into place. In that case, mudjacking can help avoid major structural damage and even home collapse by restoring the integrity of your structure with minimally invasive procedures. Mudjacking a concrete patio, walkway, or sidewalk can be worthwhile because it removes tripping hazards and makes your outdoor area more aesthetically appealing.

Polyjacking and mudjacking can both be effective solutions for sinking concrete, but they have key differences. Polyjacking, which uses expanding polyurethane foam, is often considered a better option because the foam is significantly lighter than the cementitious material used for mudjacking. This reduced weight puts less pressure on the underlying soil and lowers the risk of future sinking. Polyjacking is suitable for any sinking concrete slab, while mudjacking is typically only recommended for non-structural concrete, such as sidewalks, patios, pool decks, and driveways. The primary drawback of polyjacking is its cost, which can be up to four times higher than mudjacking—as much as $25 per square foot compared to a maximum of about $6 per square foot for mudjacking.

Concrete leveling is absolutely worth it if you have sunken concrete slabs and want to restore them to level, especially if the slab is part of your home foundation. Concrete leveling is less than half the price of replacing concrete sidewalks, patios, walkways, and pool decks, and it’s about a quarter of the cost of replacing a foundation. If you also treat the underlying problem, it can be a worthwhile and permanent solution.
