Small jobs welcome

"We needed new gutter guards installed on our shed. Jesse thoroughly cleaned the gutters and professionally installed the new guards. The gutters were approximately 20 feet above ground level, and Jesse completed the work safely and efficiently. He arrived exactly as scheduled and worked diligently until the job was fully completed. We were very pleased with his workmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail."

"They came out in an emergency situation (gas smell) and found out that it was ice in the gas meter, which is the gas company's problem. They didn't even charge us for the service call! What company would do that now?!? Highly recommend!"

"FD Contracting single handedly helped me recover our home after a water flooding event from a frozen pipe that destroyed the first floor and finished basement. They had to repair all the piping. Reinstall 2 bathrooms, rebuild and install a whole kitchen. repaired and replaced all the flooring and carpeting in the house. Refinished the basement and all rooms and basically rebuilt the bottom 2 floors of the house. FR was able to bring in talent for things they didn't do in house and connect me to other professionals when needed. They were able to manage the project from start to finish and work with my insurance company to get payments as needed to continue the house recovery. The extensive project took 6 months to complete and FR was available to help at every step with recovery and working with our insurance company."

Trampoline Assembly questions, answered by experts

Whether building a playground or installing a pre-made one is more affordable depends on the materials of each. In most cases, it’s more affordable to build a wooden playground than it is to buy one and have it professionally installed, but it might be less expensive to invest in a pre-made plastic playground, even if you pay a professional to install it. Wooden playgrounds tend to last longer, but as children age, they will become less valuable. Overall, it may be most affordable to have a pro install a pre-made plastic playground.

The cost of the materials to build a DIY playground will run you about $700 to $1,000, which could vary based on the type of lumber you choose to use. On the other hand, buying a pre-made playset costs $1,000 to $6,500 or more, and if you choose to have it professionally installed, you’ll pay an additional $330 to $700.

If you want to know from the outset how much you’re likely to pay to install an outdoor basketball court, create a budget breakdown that lists the following expenses:

  • Labor: How many work hours will you need, and what is the average price of labor in your area?

  • Materials: What material do you plan to use, and what is the average price per square foot?

  • Drainage, grading, and laying cement slabs: Do you need to level or prep your area? Have a professional evaluate your property to determine what you will need to pay a contractor to do this work.

  • Hoops, lighting, fencing, painting lines, and other extras: What extras are non-negotiable? Create a list of all of the extras you want your court to have.

DIY is possible for small sets. Professional installation ensures safety and compliance with manufacturer guidelines.

Many suppliers offer installation services, either directly or through reliable subcontractors. Discuss these needs when ordering, as they may require additional scheduling or payment.
