Update: PackRat wanted me to sign a settlement agreement which included language preventing me from making any negative postings or comments about packrat on any public forum. I would have signed if they had done the right thing, taken responsibility, and offered full reimbursement, but they did not. Look out, Buyer beware! I went with Sutter Paving because of the excellent reviews on Angie's List, and wasn't disappointed. In order to save money, I opted to get the permits from the City of Bellevue myself. BIG MISTAKE! After two trips to city hall and many phone calls, the permit that Sutter thought would cost about $200 ended up costing $646!! So I scaled back the area we paved from 2,250 sq ft to 2,000 sq ft and this reduced the permit fee by about $400 (no "Clear & Grade" permit required). Dang money-grubbing municipality!! Anyway, it would have saved me a lot of hassle if Sutter had handled the permitting process. With the permitting process taking so much time, I missed the window Sutter had reserved for me to do the paving. So we had them do the paving while we were gone on vacation: a double-edged sword because I couldn't be there to oversee the work but we wouldn't drive on it for a while and it would have excellent cooling time. Turns out, they did a great job. Even though we had to have their estimator, Corey, out a couple times to resize the project to meet the permit requirements, they paved exactly where I wanted. (I had marked the extent several times with Corey and on my own using spray paint to be absolutely sure.) The "flat spot" I wanted turned out great. My kids enjoy playing basketball there often, and I love not getting dirt & gravel all in the carport & house. Plus, it's way quieter when I drive in & out, an unforeseen bonus. Only cosmetic defect was a little 3' x 3' depression that occurred after paving. They filled it in and smoothed it well, but there is a *slight* amount of water pooling there, though it is less than their standard (doesn't spill over the edge of a quarter), and dries quickly after it rains. Overall, VERY happy with the job, and would easily hire again. I used to do repairs myself a long time ago, and I had them give me an estimate for what they would charge to fix it. They correctly diagnosed the issue and I ordered the parts and repaired it myself. They disclosed their exact charge for the diagnosis and estimate ahead of time so there was no surprise there at all. They told me the part numbers that I needed so that I could do it myself easily. They have a good reputation in town as being very honest and upfront people. They've been in business for years, and they're the only operating shop here in town. They do TVs, big screens, and most electronics - DVD players, amplifiers, and the like. They even repair vintage and antique stuff."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/or/the-dalles/michael%27s-electronics-reviews-5351514.htm"},"position":10}]}

When we decided to go forward with our backyard project, it was an easy decision to hire Julio’s company again. We first hired him a few years ago for a brand new sod install, new irrigation, and a garden bed in our front lawn. His team was on time, did quality work, and are friendly and...
Joel came when he said he would, demonstrated excellent workmanship in repairing/replacing the steps to my front porch, AND he brought the project in for the amount he had estimated for both materials and labor!

Gravel Driveway Repair questions, answered by experts
Filling small cracks in your driveway with patching material is usually the most affordable fix, costing about $2 to $3 per square foot. For larger damage, however, these repairs won’t last, so it’ll save you more to resurface or replace the driveway, depending on the extent of the issues.
Asphalt provides durability, cost-effectiveness, and a smooth surface ideal for high-traffic areas.
Costs range from $3 to $7 per square foot, depending on the area size and project scope.
Things like gravel, crushed shells, or even sand works with shallow potholes. For larger damages, use cold patch asphalt or a concrete mix. Make sure you compress the material enough so it stays intact against the traffic. Loose gravel is the most affordable option in most cases, but concrete is often the most reliable and durable.
In most cases, driveway repair is worth the investment. Your driveway is one of the first things people see when they look at your home, so repairing cracks, chips, and potholes can improve your home’s curb appeal and overall value. Repairing your driveway is also almost always more affordable than replacing it entirely—an average of $1,765 compared to the cost of replacing a driveway, which typically costs around $5,000.
