Best foundation repair specialists near Riddle, OR

"I'm finally getting around to writing a review, although the work happened awhile ago. When we noticed cracking in the walls at our house, we found three companies to call. I decided to hire the second company because they could do waterproofing in addition to structural repairs. I sure regret that decision! If I had called Ram Jack before hiring the other company, I would have been spared a two-year ordeal and the loss of thousands of dollars. Instead, I ended up calling Ram Jack for a second opinion, after problems developed with the other company. Curt and Ken (the owner) came to do an assessment of our house. They were thorough and looked at the whole picture to determine what issues needed to be addressed, rather than just trying to sell their products and services. Their only recommendations were to replace a rotting support post in the basement and to direct water away from the foundation. When I told Ken what the other company had recommended and that most of the work had already been completed, he seemed shocked but did not use this as an opportunity to trash his competitor. Other people who looked at our house were not as charitable! I think this says a lot about Ken's character. The one recommendation from the other company that I thought might be justified was to pier a corner of the house that had settled about two inches. I was ready to sign off on this work but Ken strongly discouraged me from doing it, explaining that it was purely a cosmetic issue and that future settling was extremely unlikely because the water issue had been taken care of. He told me to at least wait a year and reassess the situation, turning down what would have been a 15-20 thousand dollar job. What I did end up hiring Ram Jack to do, was to correct the problems caused by the other contractor and to get everything up to code. The City scrutinized all of the work done at our house because it was not up to code and the other company did not obtain the proper permits. Ken was willing to collaborate with an engineer and carpenter to get the job done at the lowest cost to me. Although some of the damage caused by the other company could not be remedied, I think he got the best results possible without doing more extensive repairs. Everyone I had contact with at Ram Jack was wonderful. They even offered to haul away debris left from a previous job. I sure appreciate Ken's willingness to take on a relatively small job and to step in and fix someone else's work; many companies are not willing to do that. If I ever have a need for structural repairs in the future, Ram Jack will be my FIRST phone call. I highly recommend this company."

They left the area so much cleaner than it was when they arrived and they explained everything to us clearly so we would know what to do. "I needed to have my roof replaced along with 5 skylights.  Mid Valley Building provided a very detailed bid and the price came in at least a few thousand dollars under any other bids I received, this included the price of new skylights. Not only did they provide Excellent service, but the installation was done with honesty, integrity and professionalism.  This company is family owned and displays wonderful ethics. They showed up on time with a great crew and completed the installation in two and a half days.  Not only were they prompt, but they made sure to leave the areas around the house cleaned up every day.  I chose Owens Corning Tru Def Duration Series roofing and was so very glad I did since I'm in a high wind and rain area.  They were very courteous and a pleasure to have around.  I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone looking for honesty, integrity and professionalism in a contractor. I'm a very happy customer and for any other major construction or repairs to be done, they will be are my first call.  In fact, they will be doing some door replacement and decking work for me in the near future.  This was an awesome experience!  Kudos to John, the family and crew!"

"Travis did a lovely job. The front steps were a challenge due to multiple grade angles he had to match to. Travis had no problem problem solving and developing a creative and beautiful solution. His finish work is weathering great. No chips, cracks or stains. We are enjoying his work everyday. I met him when he re did our neighbors driveway. He worked through that nasty heat in 2021. Never complained and did not mind me visiting and watcing his process. Very approachable and professional. He loves what he does and it shows. Just a really good guy. Oh and he likes peanut butter cookies."
