"Quick response, very polite, makes good eye contact, has a friendly attitude, listened intently to my explanation of the two problems, a leaking window, and a clothes dryer vent which was buried in fir needles and debris. He asked questions to make sure of the issues, and got immediately to work. He knew exactly what to do, and he worked quickly and skillfully. He had all the needed tools and equipment with him, including the caulk for the window. The dryer vent issue required not only external clean up, but when that wasn't enough, he offered to go under the house to check, and discovered the vent tubing had come loose, which he fixed. He took pictures under the house to show me the issue and his repair of it. When he got the dryer vent cleaned and cleared, he cleaned up the debris from the job, plus, he cleaned up the whole sidewalk, and left the area looking way better than it had when he arrived. Quick, efficient, and got it all done in less than two hours. I am delighted with his skillful work, and quick, friendly efficiency. I'll definitely hire him again."

"J'S Lawn Services did more than I asked (in a good way)! They cleaned up my backyard as I asked but also took care of some things in the front yard I hadn't thought of. Overall, I am very satisfied with the work that was done and the price I paid. Very professional and friendly. Easy to work with!"

"The work was done in November 2022. This was our first venture into landscaping, and we needed someone that could listen to our ideas and offer suggestions. Alex was exactly what we needed! Alex sat down with us, took notes, and asked questions to determine what we wanted. He was extremely flexible in modifying the design to meet our needs. The walkways are beautiful, the deck and raised garden planters look amazing, and all the work was completed in a timely manner. We look forward to enjoying the yard for years to come. There is one project we wanted to wait on until spring, and we intend to hire 2A Landscape again."

Lawns questions, answered by experts

Dawn dish soap is typically too abrasive to use on plants, even when diluted with water. The soap contains detergents that can strip away a plant's natural waxes and oils, which are there to protect the leaves.

Should you decide to make your own soap spray insecticide, it's important to choose a gentle soap that doesn't contain detergents or surfactants. Castile soap, such as Dr. Bronner’s, is a good pick.

In most cases, it’s better to remove rocks before adding mulch. Layering the two will restrict drainage and plant health, and can create an unpleasant texture underfoot.

The least strenuous methods to get rid of leaves are to use a leaf blower, leaf vacuum, or a lawn mower, since these machines will do most of the work.

To clean an estate, start by locating all important documents, which you’ll need to sort through. Have the mail forwarded, change the locks, and take inventory of the entire estate. Once you know what you’re dealing with, create a plan and a timeline for the cleanout. Start clearing out rooms and sorting items to donate, sell, or get rid of. Finally, deep clean the property.

You can choose between weekly leaf removal services throughout the fall or a single cleanup at the end of the season. If you want to maintain a pristine lawn, weekly service is a good idea to keep up with falling leaves. Alternatively, if you prioritize saving money, you can wait until all or most of the trees on your property are bare and pay for a one-time service. In most areas, this is typically in early to mid-November. While a single service is more budget-friendly, your yard will not remain leaf-free for the entire season.
