Our mission is to bring a clean and professional experience into an industry with a less than sterling reputation. We feel that the quality of service you receive is just as important as the quality of work performed. We specialize in what we call "lasting repaints." A repaint is every paint job after the first and it typically requires a lot of prep including sanding, resealing around windows and other areas, priming, and thorough masking and covering of landscaping and areas not to be painted. We do everything we can to your home to make the paint job last as long as possible. It comes down to the prep work we perform, the products we use, and the amount of paint we put on your home. We also have specialized deck crews called our Deck Teams that only focus on refinishing and maintaining decks in Central Oregon. Our dust-free sanding equipment is sure to impress. Once refinished, we can maintain your deck at a fraction of the cost under our Stain Maintenance Program. Under our Patch and Paint service we offer expert drywall patching and texture matching. Residential or commercial we can patch and repair any drywall problem you're facing. Our Carpentry Division can build you a deck, reside your home, replace worn trim boards, install new trim within your home like crown molding, or all the above! By working with a single contractor for your home repairs prior to painting we can coordinate the schedule and ensure everything meets our seriously great standards! Also available for home repairs and handyman like projects. Our newest division is Webfoot Concrete Coatings, providing the best concrete coatings for your home or business. Using polyurea coatings, our system is 4x stronger than epoxy and 10x more flexible. This is the best system available for your garage, driveway, patio, or basement.

Experienced in all aspects of painting we are professional and passionate about our work for several years in the central Oregon area. We have great reputation and take pride in our time management completion of projects on time. Known for customer service giving each client attention and listen to what their ideas for each project.

"I think the prep of the house and the exterior painting was good, although I haven't been able to walk around and check because of foot surgery. But the promises to return items to their original location never happened, nor did the replacement of house numbers that were broken in the process. After days and days of texts to say they were coming to do these things, and then not showing up, they have just stopped all communication. The contact gives a 2 year guarantee on workmanship. Can I trust them? I don't know."

Customers say: Super punctual

JG7 Concrete and Construction is a family owned business. We uphold a standard of integrity bound by fairness, honesty, and personal responsibility. Our distinction is the quality of service we bring to our customers though out Central Oregon.

"I was contacted by Abraham Torres in the Spring of 2022 to arrange for work to be completed from a bid he submitted on October 5, 2021. The work included completing three concrete aprons, one to replace the damaged attached garage driveway apron and other two were added as an entrance and exit for the shop lean-to. We arranged to begin the work June 21, 2022. He informed me that he and 3 additional individuals would arrive that day and begin prepping and setting up forms on the job site. I discussed with him and agreed to increases in material costs and a change from rebar to wire mesh, which increased the cost to $7000. The job proposal required 4 workers to complete the project in 3-5 days. Abraham and Gabriel spent only spent 1 day prepping and 1/2 day pouring and left their father, Gabriel Sr., and Omar, the younger brother, to finish the rest of the 2nd day. They failed to complete the remaining day(s) as per the estimate. There have been several different issues associated with the marksmanship of JG7 Concrete that surfaced during this project. First, concrete was splashed on the existing adjacent concrete slab in front of the shop door as well as the lower metal shop siding and corner mouldings of the lean-to. I had to purchase Liquid Hammer for $30 to remove the dried concrete splashed on the metal siding and corner mouldings. Secondly, I discovered that either the loader of their John Deere or jackhammer had damaged the bullnose edge of my interior garage concrete. I made it quite clear to Gabriel Jr. that there was absolutely no existing damage along that bullnose edge, other than a small chip under the south moulding. I advised him to be extra careful to avoid such damage while jackhammering and removing the concrete pieces. I subsequently called Abraham to inform him of the problem and requested he repair the damage. He claimed he would do so, made arrangements on two separate occasions to complete the repair, and never did so. My wife and I postponed a trip to Redmond during the second scheduled date and he failed to show, or even call. He’s made no subsequent attempt to complete the repair. Thirdly, Abraham apparently had no plans to backfill along the edge of each concrete apron, thereby leaving the edges of each apron exposed. His younger brother, Omar, attempted to do so the second day by going to Mathews Construction and getting substandard material (filter sand with a considerable amounts of rock) to utilize as backfill. It has subsequently compacted following rain and the grass refuses to take root in the sand. I will now have to hire a landscaper to bring in proper backfill soil to properly shore up the edges of the concrete and allow for proper germination and growth of the missing grass. Lastly, the concrete aprons on my garage and lean-to entrance puddle water. The water puddles on the sections of concrete between the joints and concrete edges because the concrete is pitched away from the edges of the apron and joints toward the middle of each concrete section. Even though JG7 Concrete is now working under a current Oregon Construction Contractors Board license, it was not doing so when they began the project. After they began on June 21, 2022, I discovered their CCB license had expired, even though I had previously made payment of the required 50% of the estimated amount. If you decide to use JG7 Concrete for a concrete project, you might wish to consider the following issues. Mask existing concrete and building surfaces to ensure splattered concrete can be easily removed or be prepared to remove such concrete before it dries. Make sure any damage created by JG7 Concrete to existing concrete or buildings is repaired prior to final payment. Ensure that the project is completed in its entirety. All backfilling and replacement of grass should be completed prior to final payment. Lastly, hold JG7 Concrete to their contract commitment. They should spend the time allotted as outlined in the contract, with the stated number of individuals to complete the project without shortcuts."

Decorative Concrete questions, answered by experts

Pervious concrete should be between 4 and 8 inches thick to drain water properly. Surfaces like parking lots and driveways should be at least 6 inches thick to accommodate the weight of vehicles, while patios and walkways may be poured between 4 and 6 inches thick. There’s no standard for pervious concrete thickness, but in most cases, the more weight the surface will need to hold, the thicker it should be.

Dry pour concrete cures in the same amount of time as wet pour concrete, so you’re looking at four to six hours for it to harden, 24 to 48 hours before you can remove forms and expose the slab to foot traffic, a week before it can stand up to vehicle traffic, and about a month for it to be fully cured.

No, you don’t need to wet concrete to cut it, particularly if you are using a dry-cutting blade. However, adding some water can help cut down on concrete dust. If you’re using a wet-cutting blade, then yes, you need a constant stream of water on your cutting piece while you’re cutting.

Yes, you should seal your exposed aggregate concrete to keep it protected from the elements and reduce the risk of cracking and concrete spalling. You’ll need to invest in the cost of resealing your concrete about every three years to keep it in good condition. Unsealed exposed aggregate concrete is susceptible to water damage, stains, chips, cracks, and abrasion. Sealers are available in various finishes and levels of gloss. Outdoor exposed aggregate concrete should be sealed with a non-yellowing, UV-resistant sealer to preserve the look of the finish.

Generally speaking, adding concrete landscaping features will cause your property taxes to increase. That’s because projects that involve a permanent concrete foundation require permits and permanently improve the land. Since taxes are based on improvements, your taxes will go up. Here are some projects that will likely have an impact on your taxes:

  • Concrete pool decks

  • Concrete patios

  • Concrete walkways

  • Concrete driveways

  • Concrete steps

  • Concrete foundations

Since most of these will only lead to a partial improvement, you can expect the bump in your taxes to be minimal, but this is still something to consider.
